I called the office to try to schedule an appointment as when I googled ophthalmologist who specialize in ptosis, Dr Abowd is the only name who showed up. She told me his first appointment was in February of 2027. Seriously?! I told her I'd probably be dead by then. I would try to find another doctor; she hung up on me. You going to tell me doctors are scheduling over a year out. That's ridiculous.

I recently had Cataract surgery from Dr. Abowd and was very hesitant about getting it done. All I can say is He is a great surgeon I can't believe what a difference it has made in my eyesight it has only been less than a week since He did my left eye ( they do one eye and 2 weeks later the other) both eyes are now done . I highly recommend Him he is great.

Dr Abowd is wonderful, very kind and caring. Last year in the late evening, hours after lid surgery, I had an episode that was concerning. I apologetically called him for input. He could not have been nicer and assured me that my experience while unusual was not cause for concern. Pending insurance approval, he will be doing another procedure later this year. I have complete confidence in his skills and highly recommend him!

Wonderful experience! The process was easier and the results better than I expected. The staff are friendly and professional and the entire process was smooth and efficient. Dr. Abowd was very thorough about explaining my options and did a beautiful job. The one challenge is scheduling. Appointments are booked out 6-9 months in advance, so plan ahead when possible and be prepared to be patient!

The staff were all very professional and kind. Dr. Abowd was wonderful- he explained everything thoroughly and answered all my questions. He made me feel very comfortable about my upcoming procedures.
The only issues I had were that it had not been communicated to me that I was not to wear my contact lens for a period of time prior to my appointment, so some of the testing could not be done, and that it will be six to seven months before I can get my surgery.
I can't wait to be able to see clearly again!
