SVS Vision Optical Centers

It was amazing meeting Alisha at the SVS on Talmadge Road in Toledo last week! I brought in my senior mother and Alisha helped her so much in my mother's selection of glasses. I haven't seen such great customer service like this before and would highly recommend the whole staff at SVS for any vision needs:)

Several months ago I booked an exam, it said nothing about it being a VIRTUAL eye exam. When I got there and they told me once I was already in the exam room that it would be a teleoptometry visit I was too shocked to say something about it and went along with it. I got my script, and a new PD which is weird because I thought that wouldn't change, and once my glasses arrived I immediately knew something was wrong. I've been wearing glasses for 18 yrs, it is NOT a normal adjustment process for me to be unable to see or have any depth perception at all when going up and down stairs, see a fishbowl type of effect, and get severe migraines from wearing the new pair after an old one. My old glasses are broken and that script was also 4yrs old, so I've had no choice but to be glasses-less and hardly able to see for MONTHS now. I work from home and am disabled so this has been an absolute nightmare to try to address because I don't - can't - leave the house often. When I did finally go back in they confirmed my glasses are the script they prescribed, so they weren't made wrong, and the tech(?) I spoke with said the issue must be that my eyes don't like to look through the type of plastic they're made of. She adamantly refused that the script could have possibly been wrong or need to be reinvestigated. That my eyes were unhappy with the lenses didn't sound horribly unrealistic to me, especially because I'm allergic to contact lenses, but then I went home and looked online and have seen absolutely 0 complaints about people's eyes disliking Mitsui/MR lenses. I feel really gaslit and can't see. It's scary to leave the house like this and I've been really depressed. I've already almost been hit by a car once. I've already wasted $80 on glasses I can't wear and can't get a refund on because it's not MY fault OR the vendors' fault the script was wrong, they made my glasses as asked for. I can't get another exam until next year because my insurance only pays for 1 per year and I barely had the $80 I wasted on my glasses after the exam. I hate that I was scheduled for a virtual visit without my knowledge. I'm sure if it had been in-person with an optometrist that none of this would have happened!!

Thank you Tim. He was great. He was nice and very helpful. He was very helpful on the phone, and when I got to the store he had me in and out in 15 minutes!! I wish more people where like Tim!!

Do yourself a favor and go to Sam's club optical. I put my trust In this company to ensure a healthy sight, yet now I'm being challenged by their staff as the contacts they ordered me are ill-fitted, causing migraines and other issues. Take your business to Sam's.

The people at this store actually care about you as a person, not just a customer. I would gladly go to this store, if it means paying a bit more money. I have never been made to feel so much like a member of a family. This store is truly special.
