Explained in detail my situation, showing me images and explaining where I started and where I am presently. After that went over in detail how my care would proceed with option to contact office if a problem were to arise. I highly recommend Dr. Wilkes and the best doctor I have seen in years.

About Martin Wilkes, MD

Dr. Wilkes was born in Boston, Massachusetts but raised in Atlanta, Georgia. His undergraduate education was at Hampton University in Hampton, Virginia where he received a degree in Molecular Biology and graduated with honors in 2003. He went to medical school at Virginia Commonwealth University school of medicine, graduating in 2007. His preliminary medicine internship was at Virginia Commonwealth University Health System where he was a recipient of the Arnold Gold Award for Humanism and Teaching in Medicine. He completed an Ophthalmologist Residency at the Virginia Commonwealth University Department of Ophthalmology, serving as Chief Resident in his final year.
