Walmart Vision & Glasses

The Bigley's are fantastic, both very thorough, friendly, great doctors. Now on to Walmart itself. Been going there for years. My last pair of rimless glasses started giving me problems about a month after I got them,one of the pins loosened up. I took them back 2 times to have it tightened. The second time back the lady who tightened them told me if that didn't do it to come back and they would send them back. About three weeks later I took them back with the same problem. Another lady took them back to repair, came back and said there was nothing they could do and they were past my 90 day warranty. The lady that had repaired them last time was standing right beside us, and actually said hi did not say a word. I explained what I had been through and the lady just told me I had 90 days. They were 500.00 glasses I threw in the trash......Never again, years of my business was lost.

I had a very disappointing experience at the Troy Walmart Vision Center. At the time of purchase, I was told I was paying $30 for basic lenses with non-reflective coating. My father was with me and heard the same thing. Based on that information, I agreed to the purchase. When I received my glasses, they did not include the non-reflective coating I was told I was getting. When I questioned this, the associate made it seem like it was my fault, instead of acknowledging that I had been given incorrect information. I was then told the coating is actually $55, which directly contradicts what we were originally told. Rather than fixing the mistake, the associate tried to push a second pair discount, which was completely irrelevant and frustrating. I didn't want another pair -- I wanted what I was promised. This felt misleading and unprofessional. Between the price change, blame-shifting, and upselling, I left feeling like I couldn't trust the information I was given. I would not recommend this Vision Center based on my experience.

I've dealt with Walmart vision center a bunch, and they've always been highly professional, helpful and amazing! Everyone is super nice and extremely helpful. I don't have vision insurance and have found this place to be the most reasonably priced eye exams. They also have helped me a ton getting contacts for the first time. Highly recommend.

Terrible products with known workmanship defects. Two sets of lenses scratched badly in one year with normal cleaning. I was told twice the scratching was a coating problem. Did not buy a warranty because I was told they won't honor it if my prescription is outdated. Terrible product quality. Nice workers, but terrible products and poor service policy.

I was able to schedule an appointment in a timely manner. Dr Debbie Bigley was very personable and informative with my exam. My glasses were ready in six days. The staff was helpful in choosing my glasses. I would highly recommend.

The staff here is great. The doctor was very attentive to my needs and requests. She went above and beyond to make sure I would be getting the prescription I needed, and that I would be able to submit my receipts properly to my insurance. Plus, she was very pleasant to interact with. The optician, Suzie, was very professional and helpful. She also did a great job of putting up with my obstinance while at the same time helping me understand what would probably work best for my particular needs. I was VERY satisfied with my visit today!

If I could give ZERO stars, I would. I went in today with my mother, wife, and child to have a missing screw replaced in my frames (this was after the screw they put in 2 weeks ago fell out already, btw). The woman who put the new screw in tightened it so tight that it CRACKED my lens almost completely across. When I pointed it out to her, she 1st claimed she didn't "scratch" my lens, then she tried to say it was there already insisting the entire time it was a "scratch." It is very clearly a CRACK, not a scratch, and you would have to be on Crack to not know the difference! The lens was completely fine when I handed it to her, and I had not one, not two, but THREE witnesses there to attest to that very fact. Yet, this woman would not take responsibility for CRACKING my lens in any way, shape, or form. She wouldn't even look at it to determine if it was a crack. She just kept loudly insisting it was a "scratch" that had to be there before because she didn't do it. She got so loud and rude in front of everybody that at one point, my SEVEN YEAR OLD daughter came over and said to me "wow daddy, this woman's being a real Karen!". At this point I looked at her and said "look lady, you know damn well this is a crack that wasn't there when I handed you these glasses for a simple screw replacement, you know you did this just make it right please." Eventually, she rudely looked up my information and told me that she would have a replacement lens made and cover it under warranty but that I had to make and appointment and get an eye exam first because my prescription was out dated. So basically, I have to pay $89 out of pocket to get my lens that SHE CRACKED by overtightening the screw fixed because they also dont take my insurance. That's fun! They have the prescription for the lens saved in the computer, there's absolutely no need to have a new exam as they could make it to the specs already on file for the frames they also have on file already. No thanks! I'll take my business elsewhere from now on, I'd suggest you do the same unless you want "KAREN" to break your stuff then tell you 5 different ways how it's not her fault or she didn't do it, then ask you to pay out of pocket for her mistake!

Would give zero stars if I could. We went in to the vision center to get an appointment set up for my husband and daughter for new glasses. The young, long blonde hair girl was very helpful and so sweet to my daughter which was very appreciated. While we were setting appointments up my husband brought in his glasses that were missing a screw and asked if they could fix them. When they handed them back they had a huge Crack in the corner of the lense that WASN'T there before and a small chunk missing at the bottom glass of the Crack near the bottom frame. Clearly she tightened the lenses too hard and broken the lense. My husband mentions that the crack in the lense wasnt there before and the clerk went and got the short haired red head lady from the back. She said "is there something wrong" My husband tells her there's now a Crack in his lense that wasn't there before and without even looking at them the lady rudely goes "that's not a Crack it's a scratch and I didn't do that if i did i would own up to it" (I could fit my nail in this Crack, definitely not a scratch) My husband stays calm and says "Ma'am this is definitely a Crack that wasn't there before and you are not owning up to it." And she instantly gets VERY defensive and goes "SIR im not going to sit here and argue you about it. I didnt do that! You need to make an appointment to have it fixed since your prescription is out of date and we'll make sure that it's covered under warranty." So we'd have to pay $80 for an eye exam now to get the lense fixed. They could have easily submitted the replacement lense and fix their mistake. I was appalled how loud and disrespectful this woman was being to my husband infront of my 7 year old and elderly mother in law over her mistake that could have been easily resolved but she was letting her ego get in the way. She clearly needs a job NOT in customer service. We will be going elsewhere.
