Dr. Mary Lavery at Westlake Eye Center is a SUPERIOR Doctor! These days typical doctors these days gives you a whole whopping 10 to 15 minutes of time...rushes you through and gives their opinion based on less than ten minutes with you. Not Dr Lavery She and her staff give you two hours of thorough testing and examination! They are knowledgeable, take the time needed, are professional, kind with actual listening skills! lol Their office is not the modern typical "Cattle Call" medicine-- It's like you took a step back in time where thoughtful meets professional -- When Doctors actually cared about their patients!! I have recommended Dr Mary Lavery many times and all agree, She is the BEST! If you care about your eyes... make an appointment with Dr Mary Lavery

100% loved this office!! If it wasnt for the staff and the doctor getting us in for my at the time 9 month old, things could have been so much worse with the cyst that she found. They got us in within a month of me calling to schedule and even before the scheduled appointment called again and got us in a week after I had called to schedule. She was super patient and did his whole exam while he was asleep. I will be calling to schedule for myself! Thank you Dr. Lavery!!

I do love Dr. Lavery. She's absolutely amazing with my son and does everything she can to help us with his eye troubles. But I do NOT love the receptionist. She is rude, and flat out mean. Today, my son had an appointment. It is summer, so of course I had my other children with me. She got legit angry that I had my other kids with me. She made the smart remark that "yeah, they're all with him", then when she walked us to our room, she said "you've got to be kidding me" about my kids being with me. Completely unprofessional and honestly made me feel so small. She should not work with the public. If it wasn't for Dr. Lavery, I would switch doctors completely just because of that lady that is rude to me every time we walk in.

If I could give a 10, even 100 star rating, I would. I've never encountered a level of patience and compassion from a team of medical professionals like this. Exceptional experience. I'm transferring my whole family's eye care to Dr. Lavery, Barb and team.

I brought my kids to Dr. Lavery and I also came to her myself. She's an amazing doctor. She's very patient and takes her time with her patients. I would recommend her to anyone.

Went two times, and that was enough for me. The first time, the wait was very long. I didn't think much of it because that happens in health care sometimes. I didn't like that they didn't have a changing table for my daughter. They see pediatric patients and don't have a place to change them. Luckily my daughter was old enough to stand in the restroom so I changed her diaper standing up. our experience with Dr Lavery the first time wasn't bad. She's good with kids. The second time, today, the appointment was at 1030a. They had to reschedule our appointment twice because of their schedule, not ours. When we get there, we pay and the receptionist said it wasn't abnormal that our appointment was cheaper this time because they rescheduled on us, as if this sort of thing happens all too often. We get checked in and wait in the lobby for a while. They take us back, and we wait for a while longer. The assistant turns on a movie for my daughter, starts it about halfway through, asks if we need anything and that the doctor would be in shortly. More time passes. My toddler is getting impatient and my baby is crying. The assistant comes back in and asks again if we need anything. I said no. She said the doctor was with another patient and we were next to be seen. Okay. We continue to wait. Finally the movie is over, it's 11:30am and I've about had it. I AM NOT ONE TO LEAVE AN APPOINTMENT. But I did! I gathered our things, walked out the door to the lobby to get a refund. As I made it to the desk, the doctor rushes behind me and says "I'm ready for you. If you will come back to the room, I will see you now." I said "no, we have waited too long, I'm ready to go." She tells me that she has been with other patients and that she was skipping the patient before me to see us. Ummm WHAT?? I tell her no, I just want to leave. I want a refund. We had waited for an hour and we were all ready to leave. She said it was my decision and went back in the hallway. We got our refund and left. In the end, the staff is nice, the doctor is good with children but everything there is ran poorly. It's not worth the wait. We won't be back.

My son had gotten a piece of metal in his eye. I called his ophthalmologist office and was told they wouldn't be able to see him because they were"out of the office". I called Dr. Laverys office and we got in that afternoon. We had never been to her before. She did an excellent job removing the metal, we had follow ups with her and I couldn't of been more impressed. She and her staff answered all of our questions and took a lot of time with us. I never felt they were"rushing" us thru. We will continue to go to Dr. Lavery for our eye care needs.

On a scale of 1 to 10, I'm giving Dr. Lavery AND her staff a 12. Phenomenal team and most thorough eye exam I have ever received. You are not treated like a number, but like a true human being. Exceptional is all I can say.
