Was looking for a good doctor's office near me needed a wheelchair accessible place. The atmosphere was amazing. The staff was very attentive The doctor took his time to make sure my daughter can actually see a lot better before we left, and she got to choose the most beautiful glasses and took her time trying them on, we weren't rushed out at all, everyone there was so kind smiling faces. Will definitely come back.

Since moving back to Oklahoma 12 years ago, I've had a hard time finding an optometrist I really liked. I recently had an appointment with Dr. Mayes, and he was great. He was kind and patient with me throughout the eye exam, which I truly appreciated. In the past, I've found that many optometrists I've seen weren't always patient and often lacked good bedside manner. I would have given a five-star review, but I encountered some issues when trying to order my contact lenses. During my call to place the order, I asked to use both of my vision insurance plans toward the purchase. Initially, the representative I spoke with didn't seem very patient and insisted--at least from my perspective--that I could only use one plan. This would have resulted in a much higher copay. After some persistence and being placed on hold, I was told I could use both plans, and $270 could be applied toward the contacts. It was during this same call that I found out I had been quoted the wrong price. When I asked questions to clarify, the representative seemed irritated and was not apologetic about the error. Instead, I was told--somewhat abruptly--that the original quote was only for a six-month supply. Despite this, I still recommend Dr. Mayes. I feel confident in the accuracy of my prescription, and I plan to return to him for future exams. I understand that mistakes can happen; I just wish the process of ordering contacts had been smoother and handled with a bit more patience and clarity

Super friendly staff and accommodating! Wait time was very minimal with a very satisfied experience. Will be definitely continuing to use them as my eye care specialist for future visits.

After at least 4 years of going to Premier Eyecare, I can attest their service has gone down the drain. When they dispensed my glasses, they said if there were any issues, to please bring them back within a timely fashion, as we only have 30 days for them to rectify it. They didn't check the fit of the glasses in the store when given to me, as they had them wrapped up in a gift bag. I took them home thinking I could bring them back if there was an issue. I eventually did need to take them back to see if they could remake them, or exchange them, as they were too big. Heck, even a refund if possible (I will take the hit on my insurance). The glasses, no matter what they did, did not fit appropriately. They kept saying there was a "30 day policy". I was within 3 weeks of the purchase date. I should not have to be forced to keep the glasses. The eyeglass manager talks to you passive aggressively to get over and not rectify the improper dispensing of eyeglasses and not standing by their service. She refused to do anything about it. I said they would be losing business from a family of 5 who have been going there for years. She smiled and said "That's okay". I requested a call from both the General Manager and Owner, even texted them, to no avail; no response. I tried to support a local business since it's close to home, and looked past the small inventory, inexperienced staff, and high turnover. It was weird how they were always reluctant to release our prescriptions (even though I was still purchasing from them). It's illegal to withhold these. I should have trusted my gut and went somewhere that would trust and stand by their own business. Do not go here!

Wonderful first visit! An eye Dr. that actually explains what's going on with my eyes vs a Dr that just said "go get reading glasses". Been looking for a good eye Dr for sometime now. I think I've found the right place! Thank you!!!

Too many restriction such like contact's and glasses. I called mY insurance to check on the coverage and they do cover either or on glasses or contact. But at your place said that your policy did not accept Contacts with our insurance. Plus all the front desk girls are not that friendly except The optical lady. So we have to get glasses instead. We will not be back next year. Thank you!

Disappointed after years of good service. Our entire family has been going to Premier Eyecare of Edmond for a couple of years. At our latest checkup our youngest (who had been complaining of frequent headaches), had been given a slightly updated prescription. A couple of weeks go by after receiving new glasses, and he's still experiencing headaches. After going to our primary care doctor, and an opthamologist, as well as having an MRI; it turns out his prescription has been wrong for quite a while. We brought the glasses we had just purchased (two months prior) back to be adjusted, and it cost another $115 out of pocket. They have a 30 day policy, "it is posted everywhere", said the office manager. I wasn't aware of this, and was disappointed they wouldn't make an exception. The opthamologist's office said a 90 day policy was pretty standard, and usually a normal window of expectation on new prescriptions. This was also confirmed by Google, 90 - 120 days is average. The opthamoligist also said it is common best practices to dilate children on their first visit, which was never done for either of my children. I was told Premier doesn't do this because they have the camera that captures the back of the eye. Google has confirmed this isn't a best practice replacement for eye dilation in children. The opthamologist did both, but says it's better to dilate even with the machine photo. I'm curious why they don't stand behind their prescriptions longer than 30 days, if the expectation would be that a good prescription should last up to one year? Our family of four will not be returning to Premier Eyecare, even though the doctors and staff are nice, especially if they won't stand behind and guarantee the largest cost to their patients.
