Shields Family Eyecare Center

As much as I post reviews, I'm always amazed at myself for not reading more myself. But, there are so many great experiences posted. Always a good sign when theres this much consistency. Basically, I wasn't very happy with my previous location. Previous Dr was nice, but I did not care for the staff. Learned about Dr Shields from some friends at church a year or two ago. Family started going here before me. They have loved Dr Shields and his staff. I finally made the switch this year. I can see why. He is very personable. Makes you feel comfortable with the visit. Seemed like he truly is listening to understand any issues or concerns you may have. The staff up front was very nice and receptive for this first visit as well. Place is in a business park. If you google your directions, very easy but if you don't it's a little hidden back in the business park. Either way, first visit only but it was a good one and would recommend if you're in search of an eye Dr.

It's about time I post a review. I've been a patient here for 20 years. George is the most personable, and kind man. He's not only an incredible physician but a kind and caring person. He has always graciously had conversations with me outside of the subject of my eyes. And never have they fallen on deaf ears. He gets to know his patients as people not just a chart and it shows. His receptionist/office manager Kristi has been there the same length of time and is equally as wonderful. I know when I visit that I'm well taken care of and I leave every time wishing that there wasn't a year between appointments. This place is the best.

Dr. Sheilds and his staff are really the best. I always come away happy, even when I find out my eyesight has gotten worse! Truly a great doctor.

Been going to Dr. Shields for 5 years now. He is friendly and straightforward. The office staff is friendly as well. My appointments are never drawn out and I usually don't have to wait that long! Highly recommend!

Don't bother calling for an appointment they are not taking any new patients.

The previous commenter was spot on, the front desk employees are as friendly as the IRS. Don't bother calling unless you enjoy being treated like an inconvenience. Spoiler Alert: they are not accepting new patients or kindness.

I can't say enough great things about Dr Shields and his staff. Dr Shields is not only the most pleasant doctor I've ever met but he is personal. He makes me and my family feel as if we are his only patients. I've been seeing doctor Shields for over 5 years and the quality of service and care he and staff provide us is consistently impeccable. Dr George Shields is the absolute best eye doctor anywhere around. My family has been to him for many years and I have recommended him to several friends. He cares about all his patients and what's going on in their lives. He treats us like family!!!
