Daniel Eye Clinic

I recently had cataract surgery in both eyes and I was so fortunate to have been sent to Daniel Eye Clinic. All the staff members are courteous, kind and timely. Dealing with this eye clinic was a pleasant experience! I dealt with Dr. Ahmad Sidiqi who is a locum for the next year and he was amazing. I highly recommend him. I am 4 weeks post surgery and my eyes are better than they have ever been. At the age of 72 I can drive without glasses for the first time in my life - unbelievable!

Greta staff (except the receptionists). Overall a very positive experience. I've been bringing my mother to the Daniel Eye Climic since 2018/2019. Dr Daniel herself saw her in the beginning and preformed mom's cataract surgery. That was all pretty great. Since then we have been back a few times 2023-2025. Dr Daniel doesn't see us anymore, now we see Dr Cote or whoever is available it seems. And again, with the actual procedures and treatment, I had no issue at all and they have been great. My only complaint is, mom has advanced Alzheimer's and Dementia, which started back in 2019. And the wait time here is incredibly long. Like, it can take 10 minutes once you're checked in to do the preliminary exam. Which is fine. Then they sit you down again and you wait to see the doctor in one of the exam rooms. This is the problem. On average you wait in that room 25-40 minutes. And keeping mom from having a fit in that time is very hard with her condition. Being 80 and having other medical issues, we will inevitably also need to leave the Daniel clinic offices and use the restroom because we've been waiting for far too long. I keep bringing this up, and they have after 4 visits now not done anything to accommodate her. On the last visit a prisoner was in the office getting checked out. He was in an orange jump suit, handcuffed and escorted by police the whole time. The criminal was seen and tended to faster than my elderly mother with a medical condition. So that's something to think about. Because the longer mom is kept waiting in a strange chair, and in a strange place, she becomes more and more a danger to herself and possibly those around her. I write this review as I am waiting, in the exam room, for her to be seen. I reminded the staff of her condition as I always do... and no action is ever taken. It's incredibly frustrating.

I've been very disappointed with the reception and communication at this eye clinic. Calls are rarely answered, and when messages are left, they are not returned. It seems there's no proper system or service level in place for responding to patients. This lack of basic customer service is frustrating and unprofessional.

I can't speak highly enough about Dr Cote. His beside manner and level of professionalism is immeasurable. I would highly recommend him to anyone requiring a Opthamologist. Dr Cote, thank you for all you do!

I've had several eye surgeries and this procedure was by far the best. She was professional, quick and calming. It took less than 5 minutes and she made me feel at ease. A big thank you to Dr. Daniels for making this scary experience absolutely wonderful. I highly recommend her.

This is a very nice, well organized clinic. Dr Cote and his team are very friendly, organized and knowledgeable. The man who did the initial assessment of my eye prior to Dr Cote was very pleasant and efficient. Dr Cote diagnosed my chalazion and gave me options. He was detailed with his assessment and gave plenty of time for my questions. I have the privilege of him working out of the outpatient department at my hospital where I work, so it was nice to match a face to his name. He has an incredibly good reputation! This clinic space is very clean and modern and is much bigger than expected. This clinic is conveniently located in south Oakville and has free parking too! I highly recommend a referral to Dr Cote.

Great friendly & caring staff. Dr. Elie Cote is personable, caring and informative. Had 2 cataracts removed by him for my father-in-law, excellent outcome both times. Highly recommended.
