Ilex Eyecare

Been coming to ilex for years. High staff and dr turnaround but it doesn't change the service. Long time staff are always smiling even when busy. Avery has helped me with glasses a lot and is always honest and never tries to upsell unncessary add ons like other places do. I asked about transition lenses for driving and she said its a waste of money if thats all I want it for. Nobodys ever told me they don't work in the car. She saved me a few hundred dollars I think when she could've just taken my money anyway The office has changed lots over my time here but the care hasn't. Dr. MacDonald has always made sure I am looked after even when he isn't available to see me.

Have gone to Dr. Macdonald for many years. Myself and my partner have always found he and his associates to be professional, efficient and insightful. Thank you for many years of wonderful work!

They will rack your bill up with things you don't actually need but tell you to do it just in case because you have insurance. Then at the end they tell you they won't submit it to insurance directly making you pay hundreds of dollars.

What did we need before visiting Ilex? - A qualified eye doctor, highly trained, and can perform a comprehensive eye exam. Dr. Derek MacDonald was simply The One. - Professional staff with good credentials and a friendly demeanor providing excellent care. This applies to all office staff, reception and medical professionals at this clinic. - Access to advanced technology and latest equipment used at most clinics. Between Dr. MacDonald, his wife, Dr. MacDonald, and the rest of the staff, we saw the best equipment and experienced the best treatment. - Access to a convenient location (King & Columbia near Columbia & Weber). They're located at the best possible place, in my opinion. You can also have a bite at McDonalds or grab pizza on your way out. - You can book an appointment as early as 8 AM or in the evening with later times on Wednesday. The staff are professional and pleasant, and the doctors are knowledgeable and caring. The customer service is top notch, and the staff are amazing. If you talked to Dr. Derek MacDonald, you could feel the empathy and caring in everything he says or does. They even have a play area for children. Look no further for a place to perform eye exams and buy glasses. This is the place for children, adults, and seniors too. We can't wait to go back tomorrow to select our frames and pick the new glasses soon!
