The staff is excellent. Barbie, who has been with this practice for many years, is so genuinely caring and interested in clients. That is a precious commodity these days and worth a visit to enjoy her level of dedicated service!
The quality of sceral lens is so bad that in 3 years 3 lens broke in 2 pieces Thank God in my hand not in the eye , and of course they are not cheap either ! I have been going to this place for last 8 years , each visit at least 3 hours which I don't mind as students get to learn a lot rhrough patients But no more , poor reception service and poor quality of Lens ! And they just want you to see doctor so they can charge you a fee each time
I had a terrible experience at Waterloo Eye Institute. The reception staff was rude and unprofessional--she was talking on the phone while trying to talk to me, completely ignoring me at times. The visit felt more like a research experiment than actual patient care. I went in with irritation in my right eye, but after being blinded with lights and drops by students for two hours, the doctor only showed up for 5 minutes, gave instructions to the students, and left. My issue was never addressed, and they just gave me a prescription for glasses instead.
One of the best and child friendly optometrist in town. Really impressed by the thorough tests conducted and care taken each time I visited for my child. The supervisor was always super friendly and took time to answer our questions. Very less waiting time. Would recommend parents to go here for the best care.
We are always treated very well when we come here. Everyone is. Employees are respectful and helpful. Examinations are thorough and professional. However this is not the place to go if you are in a hurry. Interns are learning and therefore slower than actual doctors but they do very comprehensive exams which is then reviewed by a doctor.
I couldn't find 0 star reviews for staff and specifically their manager Ann girling. So let's see how anyone can get traumatized by.....
When I went there students were practising on me and dilated my eyes 3 times, which almost turned me out blind for next 4-5 hours. I didn't had sunglasses with me so you can imagine how did I went home and was extremely dangerous on road. They didn't inform me to bring glasses at the time of booking appointment nor they offered me. After that I gave them address of my workplace to send a examination report and ordered glasses of $930 which was deducted from card. After waiting for 3 weeks when I called them to ask my report they said we had already sent your report to the some given address which was not provided by me at all. In 2nd time they again sent my report at random site. So very unprofessional, careless behaviour and terrible customer service. It could compromise my personal information. In the 3rd time when I finally speak with staff and their manager Ann girling so they were accusing me and showed me high tone language. I told management that it's your fault, so they said why don't you come and pick it up from here, which was not possible for me during my working hours. I requested manager Ann to send me a report over the email and meanwhile she declined me in her system. Somehow later when she sent me an email my name in report was incorrect. Other name I'm seeing on my report so there are chances that they even swap or misinterpret examination reports. Moreover in attached image I saw price of my glass which is actually $879, it means they charged me $61 extra which I mentioned above $930 price, for no reason, yes without no reason. Even when I called them first time for my report they said you still have outstanding balance of $50 for delivery and when I informed them that I had paid already everything in upfront including for delivery as well so they removed all those illegitimate charges from my account. To sum up I would say Atrocious, horrible, disgusting, disrespectful, manipulative, gruesome, hateful people are very tiny & small word for people like Ann girling ( Operation Manger ) and her staff.
If anyone is reading this and thinking of getting mentally harassed & stressed , please feel free to contact these fellow.
Also still at this moment waiting to get my actual correct examination report and explanation about that illegitimate $61 which they charged me. But I'm Damn sure they don't have anything to cover their side and keep thrashing innocent people.
Very very poor, disgusting, unprofessional, terrible and shabby people specially Ann girling, staff and service.
If your *appointment* is for 9AM book the entire day off work. The wheels rotate slower than at the dentist office at this place. Once you're in under the laser you wonder why it takes forever to get work done.
Complete procedure took <15 minutes. Wait time 1.5hrs.
I come here for school and so far I love it. Everyone is so kind and willing to help. Had my eye exam here as well and they were very thorough, respectful, and kind.
