I wish I had the name of the technician who helped me with the vision check and the dilation of the eyes. She was more than professional. She had a great personality. She put me at ease and helped me to relax as I don't like any kind of doctor visits.

Always different receptionist. Don't seem eager to help. Always a different person putting info in for the doctor and usually a mistake is involved like today. She put in 3 weeks when the doctor said 3 months then had to wait for them to check because she didn't believe me. Scheduling is a pain since they don't do late appointments. People with normal jobs have to take off early to make an appointment. They only do 1 day at 340 and everything else is earlier and no Friday appointments, which is one I can get off her work early easier. The receptionists don't even take phone calls after 4. Today was the first time the online check-in system even worked for me.

Dr. Stice knowledge and explanation of my cataract surgery was reassuring I had the Doctor i needed for this surgery. The results has been unbelievable. I have better vision without glasses in 65 years. Distance vision restored and the colors are vibrant.
Note: After a week I'm still reaching for my glasses in the morning.

I was seen promptly and the exam was thurough and efficient. Dr Stice did some different measurements and explained my options clearly. My only wish the scientists would develop some rapid recovery drops to use after your eyes are dilated. I have confidence of his surgery skills and look forward to having my cataracts removed. Ppl

The Dr himself and most of the staff are absolutely great but the one assistant that I got so lucky to get. I've only been to an optometrist once in my life and that was for flash burn. The things she was doing with my eyes were triggering an auto reflex. I tried so hard but she had zero patience and I could tell that she was getting madder and madder! I know alot of ppl who work within the same environment/services and they are trained to identify mental health issues and to work with the patient to make them more comfortable, not make them so uncomfortable that they're apologizing for everything and seriously considering just leaving right then. I am bi-polar, I have ADHD and PTSD. There are times I can't sit still or keep my mouth shut and I feel really awful about it, as is, when I realize what I've just done. My profuse apologies and the look on my face should be enough to tell this person that I am embarrassed and truly sorry... the eye rolls and loud exasperated sighs really are not necessary. I was SO HAPPY to find out return appointments weren't necessary. If it weren't for her and how she made me feel, I would give them 5 stars

As a comprehensive ophthalmologist, Dr. Scott Stice focuses on cataract surgery including specialty lenses and glaucoma management. He joined Eye Care Physicians & Surgeons in 2000 and is an active member of the Salem medical community serving as President-elect of the Marion Polk Medical Society. He spends his extracurricular time coaching youth sports, supporting community health programs for the underserved, and spending time with his family. Dr. Stice graduated from Wake Forest University in North Carolina, and then completed his medical doctorate at the Medical University of South Carolina.
