Sterling Vision | Salem Oregon

I had a wonderful experience at Sterling Vision for my first visit. The customer service was excellent from the moment I walked in, and I truly appreciated that there was no wait time. Dr. Glennie was fantastic. He was very thorough, took the time to explain everything clearly, and made me feel comfortable throughout the entire appointment. I highly recommend Sterling Vision and will definitely be returning for my future eye care needs.

They are fine. I wish they were more upfront with their costs. I was paying out of pocket because I moved and my contact script expired. I asked them to bill my health insurance but it didnt get covered (even tho on the east coast it was as I have very bad vision). I had a dilated eye exam, choosing what I was told was the cheaper version (drops versus some machine; same with the glaucoma test). I get the cost of the refractive exam, but how a new patient exam is $405? They offer no sliding scale (as a pediatrician this is what we do in my office). I asked for a break down of the visit (meaning what each charge was leading to the $405) and while the lady on the phone was nice, what she sent me was the same thing I got in the mail. Definitely only go if you have insurance. The days of paying out of pocket for vision (dental, medical) are a thing of the past.

Very professional, kind, and detail-oriented. From the front desk staff, to the optometrist, to the gal who spent time patiently walking me through all the options for framing and lenses and has her methodology down to a science, it was a surprisingly fun experience. I can't wait to get my glasses, and I will be recommending them to anyone in need of eye care!

Optometrist was very nice, office staff were not. Billing has been a nightmare and I've had a new bill generated 6 months after my appointment with new/different charges. You will NEVER have someone answer the phone here and MAY get a call back as long as you aren't asking about anything but scheduling. Can't get my billing questions answered. My prescription was not correct or was filled improperly and I don't use the glasses. The two stars given are solely for the manner of doctor himself and the nice facility.

Eugene location was my experience. The corporation is going down hill. Now the year warranty is only for defects, not for scratched lenses. Staff turn over is swift. Stores closed down. All the best people are gone. Make sure to keep your own paper records and photo of everything you sign. Certain staff try but get tired of helping you, and pass you off to others with no closure or communication. The place is disorderly. I regret buying my glasses there! The corporate vibe is getting worse and worse. I won't be returning. For years I patiently put up with how extremely long it took to get orders re-made accurately. I'd go to a real and not corporate, quality eye care establishment instead! It's difficult to get in touch with people, you just have to go there in person.They are cutting corners for pennies and it feels uninviting after all these years. Unimpressed. The foot doesn't know what the hand is doing and the humanity has flown the coop. Its hopeless...I was told it was impossible to get more of my frame I use. They forgot to inform me I could get it, but just not through them, not because the frame company was out of them, but rather simply bc they had just dropped the Europa brand as a contracted vendor. Kind of a big detail to leave out, when you knew how bad I was trying to access them. Disorderly had been the overall feel.

I absolutely love coming to Sterling Vision/Salem, OR. I haven't been in awhile do to my mom and my Uncle passing. When I came back to Marion County I remembered how patient, friendly everyone there. They don't make me feel rushed and even give me advice on glasses that fit the shape of my face. I would absolutely recommend my friends, family or anyone else to Sterling Vision in West Salem. Thank you to the West Salem team for the great service you provided to me.

I was in today for a routine pick up of my contacts. Andy was the most welcoming, polite, professional, and kind person to interact with. He made sure I was taken care of in a timely manner and went above and beyond to ensure my experience was all it should be and more. Thanks Andy! How refreshing!

Took my 7 year old daughter there last year for an eye appointment and they said her eyes were perfectly fine. Fast forward to this year I get a letter from them trying to use a scare tactic for us to come back.
