This was my first visit to this Visionworks location, and I had an excellent experience from start to finish. I was greeted right away, even though the receptionist was already helping someone else. A second receptionist came in, she looked like she had just returned from buying her lunch, but she immediately stepped in to assist me. She checked me in, told me where to sit, and then quickly put her food away. It really showed that customers come first, no matter what they're in the middle of.
Everyone I interacted with was kind, friendly, and respectful. The first woman who brought me into the room with the curtains was quick, gentle, and efficient. Dr. Tran was professional, fast, kind, and also funny and which made the exam feel comfortable.
My last interaction was with Christina, who helped me pick out my glasses. She was extremely helpful, answered all my questions, and even offered her own suggestions. When I changed my mind about some of the add-ons, she didn't seem annoyed at all, she just smiled and told me she would make the adjustments.
Overall, I had a perfect experience with every staff member and with the doctor. I would definitely recommend this location.
I had the best experience at this location- fast, clean, kind staff. My appointment was at 2:30- by 3pm I had a new pair of trial contacts, order a year supply of contacts, and was pulling out of the parking lot. I had a horrible experience with the location on Union Deposit and was disappointed with having to drive 20 minute to the Camp Hill location, but it was well worth it and I will make the drive again next year! My childcare fell through and I had to bring my baby, which everyone was understanding and very helpful. I felt like everyone went above and beyond to make sure I got the best deal with my insurance, was seen promptly, and was comfortable with my new prescription.
Had an appointment about a year or so ago. While my appointment here went fairly well, and the people were polite. I find it a little absurd that they won't give you your glasses prescription unless you order glasses through them first (which is what the lady who answered the phone told me). So I'll be going somewhere else to get my eyes examined next time so I can obtain my prescription and order my own glasses from wherever.
Came to vision works to check for a possible new prescription for my glasses, and my vision was saved by Dr Anne Mayer. She diagnosed a retinal bleed and got me into to a retinal specialist surgeon immediately. My vision in one eye was gone. With the teams help, I start injections retinal injections ASAP.
Thank you for the care and critical thinking.
Scheduled appts for myself & my family. Three appts 1145, 1230 & 115. They had ONE tablet for the 3 of us to sign in with and we were on time. The place was packed tight with other customers. Once we finished admission forms we were directed to sit in hallway. They began air test and whatever the 2nd test was around 1230. I was taken back to have my 1145 eye exam shortly after & sat back in the exam room until I began feeling sick around 1pm. My appt was at 1145 so I figured they were just overbooked and I would reschedule so that my family could be seen.
While staff is polite and helpful, I do not require 100 texts "reminding me" I have an appt through the week or few days til my appt or appointments. I actually opted out bc it became so annoying to which the I began receiving emails; again so not necessary.
When asked about it an estimate on what is covered & what it would cost (bc we have amazing eye insurance thru my ex husbands employer) so I could let him know & we can budget to split the cost for our 16 yr old daughter's glasses she quoted something with a coating bc she'll be driving that was $61? Then proceeded to wave in a general direction and said anything $199 and under is covered and we can't order them unless they're paid in full first. (So no dollar amount, just $61 plus some $20 co pay - which blew my mind on a co pay when I'm paying in full for glasses made zero sense, she wrote it down so it wasn't just me not hearing her correctly but no end number or estimate.
I've been driving just fine for well over 4 decades without any coating on glasses much less glasses in general at times as I only needed them for reading & she is the same way? but I could not get an estimate much less one without her "recommendation".
I believe they'd received better reviews if they didn't double or triple book when apparently short staffed and don't focus on commissions and instead help customers. Also, I promise there are other responsible adults who do not require 100 reminders about our appts & if someone opts out from allllll those texts, emailing them doesn't make matters better.
Brought my dad here to get his eye exam and Dr. Tran was very helpful! We order glasses afterwards and it took roughly 2 - 3 weeks. The staff is so nice and accommodating.
Great services from scratch,
My doctor was greatly patient to explain all details regarding my case, staff were very decent,
Ashley is a great employee to explain all differences between glasses that can Mach my case and my case she made me feel fully comfortable with my choice of my pair of glasses eventually.
The only thing is that I did not expect any additional payment to get my glasses after my insurance coverage!
Had a great experience at this Visionworks location. Helpful people, efficient and pleasant appointment, great advice. Even the telehealth eye doctor was really listening to me and making sure my needs were getting met.
