Dr. Johnston was probably the best eye doctor I have seen in a long time. He was friendly and made sure to explain everything. I have been wearing glasses and contacts for most of my life and this office was honestly the best one I have been to. The staff were friendly and extremely helpful, going as far as helping me pick out glasses frames and giving honest opinions.

Never going here again. It's never the same doctors, the last two doctors at the Thorndale location when I was there were snotty, the optician insisted that there was only one option for glasses frames with my prescription, and no one answered the phone or returned my message on one weekday afternoon. I didn't realize how bad the service was until I changed to another practice a couple of miles away- where the optician told me all the frames would work with my prescription, they answer the phone and return messages promptly, and the optometrist is much more professional with up-to-date equipment.

Haven't had a new perscription in about 4 years, so you can imagine how my eyes were fighting against the new perscription. I had Dave fit my new glasses and he took a good time explaining how the eye muscles have to work together to get used to it. He was very very kind and patient with me. this published under the wrong eye doctor. Should be Chester County Opticians in Downingtown. Too lazy to do their jobs so I had to. Several members of my family have been patients here for years but after today, I will never go back. The desk staff did not recognize my son's insurance card and I explained that I was told to give them the card and they would be able to run it to find my benefits. They said they could not do that because there were too many websites they would need to check. There is clearly an 800 number on the card for providers, like any other medical card, but being too lazy or unprofessional (they were not busy at the time) they would not call. Instead, I had to. By the time I got the information they needed (which would have taken them mere minutes), they told me that because it had taken so long I would need to reschedule my appointment. I took time off of work for this appointment. I have no idea when I can take off again and my son needs new glasses to be able to see at school. With so many walk-in eye doctors and so many other practices in town, I will happily give my hard earned money to one of them.

Quick and compact is what I like about this place. I was able to take care of getting my eyes checked by a professional, get two new pairs of glasses and be on my way. The down side is they're a bit pricey but I guess you get what you pay for.

Went there today to make an appointment and the girl at the desk was so rude and unprofessional .....she said "you won't get an appointment anywhere....all the school kids need their eye exams!" Ok then. So I went to Pearle Vision and guess what, they were so nice and got me in for an appointment almost immediately. CC Optical lost a new customer!

Everyone was so friendly, no wait, and the eye doctor explained my results in an easy to understand way. She also presented different options and didn't pressure me to make a decision right then and there.

Nothing about this appointment could have been better. From start to finish, I was well taken care of by extremely kind and competent professionals. It was literally the best thing that happened to me all week. Wow, that never happens!
