Dr. Elwood was great with my husband and me. He is very kind ad knowledgeable, and we appreciate the time he took to examine each of us and then suggest the best lenses for our needs. Highly recommend him!

Dr. Ellwood and his staff were excellent with my 3-year-old son. Dr. Ellwood was extremely thorough, answered all of my questions, and explained everything in layman's terms. Megan was also extremely patient with my son when getting pictures of his eyes. Overall great experience.

This review is long overdue. But if you want a Doctor who is kind, patient, and knowledgeable Dr. Ellwood is your guy! I had an eye injury and he was there to take care of it and any concerns I had! You can tell a difference when someone who actually cares about his patients which is him.

Had a wonderful experience at KOP Family Eye Care! It was quick and easy to schedule an appointment. The front desk was kind and professional. Dr. Ellwood was amazing and thoughtful in his medical explanations; I felt that I was receiving truly individualized care! I also opted to order contacts through the office and received them within 36 hours to my home address. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a new eye doctor!

Do yourself a favor and do not go to this place for your eye care under any circumstances! The doctor is very nice and friendly, but his staff are rude and unhelpful. I had a bad feeling as soon as we stepped foot there a few months ago to have an eye exam for my 12-year-old son when I was greeted by attitude and sarcastic remarks by the person at the front desk for approaching her and saying hello (apparently not at a good moment for her). I decided to give them a chance still, as we liked doctor Ellwood. However, my son had a an exam for his progressive bad myopia today and I had an appt on my calendar for 4:30pm. At 4:05pm I get a call from the office telling me I am late for the appt and have to pay $50 to reschedule and that they had sent a text. I had not received any text or anything and they were SO inflexible about seeing him - we live 10min away so I offered to take him right then and I was told this would infringe upon other patient's appointment! That cannot be true as appts are not 15min long, never are! My kid comes home from school at 3:45pm so there is no way we scheduled a 4pm appt! Anyhow, I am truly upset about their practices and that they seem to care more about making easy revenue than caring about a kid's vision and showing a bit of flexibility there. It's shocking to me that a business can be run so poorly in this day and age. To add a response to Dr. Ellwood's note below - thank you for commenting and I understand you have reasons to charge these fees. Not sure who clearly explains that policy at your office, but I was not aware of it at all. Neither have I received a text message - not sure on what other multiple occasions it was confirmed. But in this case that does not even matter because this was a one-time misunderstanding, we have not missed any prior appointments and I could have brought my son in right away. I don't think it's ethical to not consider the circumstances under which somebody was late for an appointment and maintain on canceling the appointment and charging your "no-show" fee. I would gladly pay the fee if I truly forgot about the appointment, as I understand how that impacts your finances, but that was not the case here. Best of luck, and I hope your no-show trend decreases.

Dr. Ellwood is one of the few practitioners that you look forward to seeing and you will actually get excited that you have a doctors appointment. He cares, makes you laugh and is extremely thorough in his exams. My wife thinks he is the best doctor she has ever interacted with...this is saying a lot coming from a person who is in a career communicating with providers daily.

I absolutely love this office! Dr. Ellwood always takes the time to explain exactly what he is doing and gives plenty of time to ask questions. On top of that, he is kind with a great sense of humor. Everyone in this office is friendly and extremely professional.I will never go anywhere else!
