Today was my first Time at this optical, and it won't be my last !!! I loved it , it was a great experience from the beginning till the end !!! Dr.frank was so nice and polite!!! Great vibes completely! And he hooked me up . Plus they take state insurance which Is amazing!!!!!! Make your appointment you won't regret it !!! I will be going back every time no doubt about it !!!

Dr. Frank is an excellent clinician with a fund of knowledge evident by his numerous years of practice. He was compassionate and answered all of my questions in a practical manner. Dana, the optician, went above and beyond the call of duty to insure that I had appropriate frames. Her exuberance was contagious and to top it all off, I met the biggest, nicest dog I have ever met, his name is Todd and he is a jet black Great Dane!! 202 pounds of gentle, loving, dog!! I normally dread eye appointments and dental appointments, but I can honestly say that this visit with the staff at Optik made my day!! I will look forward to my next visit!!

So happy to have Dr. Frank as my new optometrist. Everyone is so friendly and concerning, they make you feel comfortable and relaxed. Love my new glasses, the style and the fit. Cost is minimal. Would highly recommend Opitik Eyewear.

My first review got deleted by accident. Doc is friendly, nice, and has a helpful attitude, including helping patients pick frames. He does good things in the community as well. At the end of the day, the high-end fancy frames aren't my style, but if they are yours, then you'll find d some neat options. I like super lightweight glasses. I ended up going with a pair that is pretty, and out of which I can see very well, but I hate them because they are much heavier than I expected. I felt that I really needed to pick frames there, to be honest. I wish I had gone elsewhere, but I've been on workers comp for a year and was losing my regular insurance and having to go on another insurance with Medicaid. The doctor here was willing to work with me with whatever insurance. The selection for Medicaid is almost nothing, and what is there was very unattractive on my face. So I used the credit card to pay the full price, and then my work insurance determined that they would cover half the bill. The work insurance was determined, after I left the place and already paid almost $500 for the glasses.... since Medicaid pretty much covers nothing, that they would cover half the bill. A refund of $250 was due to me when I picked up the glasses I thought that it would be paid to me and expected that it was but when I got my credit card bill, it was not refunded. It took a number of phone calls to get a refund of the excess other half of the money I paid. I'm not sure why, but somehow, my file there got lost, so they weren't sure. None the less they were diligent enough to make sure I got my money back. Also, the frames were half off, except I found them cheaper on the Ray-Ban website and was able to get them for that price with half off in the store , so that was a nice touch. These glasses look nice, and I can see very well out of them with the Varilux. I didn't even know I was getting Varilux. That might have cut the bill down some to not have Varilux. Nonetheless, you can get Varilux there, and you won't be sorry for the quality of the lenses, but I hate my glasses because they push down on my nose and are far heavier than I expected I wish I would have done what I've been doing all along and gone somewhere else to get the frames. At the end of the day, I went to Crystal Vision. I found two beautiful plastic frames that are very nice on my face and do not weigh a lot, which I can reuse. At Crystal Vision, I did get a little bit of a discount and have to use the CareCredit at 0% interest to pay them off. That's a pain in the neck too anyway I'll just save these really nice-looking gold Ray-Ban glasses for when the wind is blowing on my face on the beach somewhere or I'll just put them in the drawer and very rarely wear them. Honestly, if I could, I would take them back and get my money back all together, but I don't think that's a possibility. This doctor's office does not do medical plugs for dry eye or anything like that. It's really just for glasses so if you need more you have to go somewhere else like I did for those things. Also, there's a great big dog that comes in, and it smells like dogs, so if you have asthma or allergies, be aware. I really was excited to have these glasses and it was overall a good experience, but I wish I had made better choices. Just be thoughtful when you make yours. Heavy metal glasses no matter how pretty are still heavy on the nose.

This is thee nicest place I've ever gotten glasses, it is very clean there and the workers are so respectful and nice and helpful! I love the service I get at Optiks! And they have thee most precious dog named Todd that's like their mascot! I love him to pieces!!!!

I can't say enough good things about Optik. Firstly, Dr. Frank is awesome. He is professional, extremely patient and friendly, and he's happy to work with you in regards to your insurance and payment. Dana, the office manager, is incredibly enthusiastic and truly enjoys helping people pick out glasses that fit not only their face, but their personality as well. The office itself is comfortable, classy and 'trendy' (but not pretentious). In an area where there are a lot of chains that look and feel the same, Optik stands out as it could have been picked up out of downtown Brooklyn and dropped into a strip mall in Kingston. My husband, my mom, and myself all got our glasses here and were so impressed with prices and selection. Many known name brands, but also brands from all over the world. Additionally, Dr. Frank will go the extra mile to find frames even if he doesn't carry them. He was able to find a pair that I bought in Finland and couldn't purchase anywhere else in the US- including online. Bottom line...if you want not only a great experience as far as exam and environment, but to walk out making a statement, Optik is by far the best choice in NEPA.

I called three times to verify my appointment, because it was on a Saturday and I wanted to make sure that was correct, they said yes we are open Saturdays and the appointment is still on. I drove an hour away just for them to tell me the doctor wasn't in. I'm disabled so getting a ride was difficult, plus spending the last of my money on gas and a ride, that was an hour away. The woman didn't apologize and said she forgot to call me like it wasn't a big deal. Well it was a big deal because of how hard it is for me to get rides and spending a ridiculous amount of money just to get there when they could have called me. I've spoken to other people that had issues here and issues with the doctor. I ended up going somewhere else where they know how to run an office properly.

Receptionist was having a full on make out session with a man when I was entering the door. Very awkward walking in on that.... She also said I had to wait until after placing my order to "see how much my insurance would cover". I left without placing order. Won't be returning.
