I don't usually do reviews but I had a great experience here. It was my first appointment and was greeted by the sweetest receptionist. My wait time was minimal and I had the best doctor. He was super informative and I felt like I was genuinely cared for and not just rushed in and out. Highly recommended this place.

My family have been going to them for almost 50 years, but they've declined a lot over recent years. Many good opticians, at least one good optometrist remaining, but new management is very aggressive with pricing now. Our insurance provides for zero copay eye exam per year, but often they bill as a medical problem appointment instead of a refractory/general exam, and we get charged $30 out of pocket, in addition to insurance payment. 4 generations of our family have gone there, but I would urge caution in dealing with them nowadays.

My wife and I have been clients and pleased with the quality and service of the Eye Gallery for years. Last year we moved to South Carolina. In South Carolina I had my eyes examined and was given a new prescription. I had new glasses made and was not happy with the results. We returned to the Pittsburgh area this past June to attend a wedding and I took the opportunity to have my new prescription filled at the Eye Gallery. And I am not disappointed! While there the glasses from South Carolina were finally properly adjusted. I provided my old frames and new prescription and asked they be sent to me in South Carolina when completed. I need to add the cost for the refurbished fame and new lenses was extremely reasonable. My "new" glasses arrived in the mail yesterday and I am ecstatic. Eye Gallery...you have gone above and beyond. Great people, quality work, great prices. I highly recommend this business.

Ive been going to The Eye Gallery for years they offer exceptional service, quality products and a professional atmosphere. There opticians are friendly and great to deal with. You may think with all of this great service and professionalism there pricing would be through the roof, it's not, they have some of the best prices on named brands around. Sometimes in fact it is less expensive to deal direct with them than going through your own insurance company! Needless to say I will be there in two hours to pick up my new frames. My husband and I have been coming here for 5+ years. The doctors themselves are absolutely amazing. However, we were NOT informed that eye gallery's contract with our insurance was ended until we went through our entire appointment. So, we had to pay out of pocket (completely fine, miscommunications happen). HOWEVER, the receptionist was beyond rude and insisted that we were informed of the change. We were absolutely NOT. They need to replace that woman ASAP. Her disrespect and lousy attitude were totally unwarranted.

Believe me, they are worth the wait! Yes, it seems as though they're scheduling out 3 months but what doctors office isn't? They have the best optometrists around, low pricing on glasses and contacts and knowledgeable staff. Everyone is friendly, the reception greats me happily at every visit, goes above and beyond to help me with insurance questions and anything else I need....she even grabbed me a bottle of water from the back! You may get an appointment quicker somewhere else but you're missing out on top notch care and customer service.

I would look elsewhere. My family are current patients of The Eye Gallery and I tried to switch to them, but it's a several month wait for an appointment. They should add that information ro the top of their website so as to not waste people's time. I had to leave a message last night to receive a call back today, when I could have been shopping around for better, more efficient options regarding eye care. They were my first choice as I know they take my insurance from my daughter going there. A day wasted. So please do not waste your time trying to get an appointment here. It is mid-June and they are not taking appointments until "into September."

I have been going to the Eye Gallery since 1987 and could not be happier! Prescriptions are always spot on. I have always been treated like I belong there and am welcome! The few minor things that did come up were corrected immediately, such as proper fit, comfort etc. even old, aging frames were adjusted and retrofitted to get a little more life out of them. I would not even consider going anywhere else and highly recommend Eye Gallery to anyone looking for vision care in the south hills. Dr. Sherry is awesome too! I always ask for her!
