The new location in Irwin on Thompson Lane makes the total 1 hour experience much more efficient! Since this entire group did an excellent job on my cataract surgery, my 6 month follow up appointments with Dr. Brian Jewart are brief but reassuring in that he answers my questions and explains my vision will carry me through my retirement years without issues.
I for one am appreciative this group/staff has the knowledge, technology and investment that the cutting edge of eye care is there for all of us.

Dr Jewart is knowledgeable, answered all my questions, and removed all the floaters that were making it hard to see. I don't feel rushed with him and I feel that he listens to me. I would definitely recommend him.

Recently I noticed white flashes in my left eye. Concerned that I might have a retinal issue I called Dr. Jewart who promptly called me back. He had me come to his office where he performed an exam and found that I had a tear in my retina. In order to prevent a retinal detachment he took me to another room and repaired the tear using a Laser. The Laser procedure took minutes and was painless. I am convinced that Dr. Jewart saved vision in my left eye for which I will be forever grateful. Dr. Jewart fully explained the problem and the procedure both before and after. He is a compassionate and friendly Physician. His assistant Mike is fabulous!!

Doctor Brian H. Jewart, MD is a board-certified, fellowship-trained vitreo-retinal diabetic retinopathy surgeon. He received his undergraduate education at the University of Maryland and his medical degree at the University of Pittsburgh, where he was the recipient of the Air Force Health Professions Scholarship. He performed his internship at Mercy Hospital of Pittsburgh and his residency at St. Francis Medical Center, where he was named chief resident. Dr. Jewart underwent his fellowship training at the prestigious Charles Retina Institute in Memphis, TN. In addition, he spent almost a decade in the United States Air Force, achieving Captain's rank.
