Irmo Eye Center - S. Clay Miller, MD

Dr Miller is very careful and thorough when he examines your eyes. He takes his time to do a detailed exam, and you don't feel like you've been whooshed in and out the door like a cattle call. You get your money's worth for your exam and you feel like he's really listening to you. The office staff is friendly and cheerful and the office is nice and clean. There's a great selection of glasses to pick from in the optical shop and they are stylish. I'm picky about glasses, but I saw 3 pairs that I really liked. Convenient location on Lake Murray Blvd too.

Years ago I was working in New York and caught something airborne that caused me to lose my vision. I was flown home and went to my family doctor, he immediately referred me to Dr. Clay Miller and he saw me within 2 hours. He knew exactly what was going on and said what I had was like have the flu of the eyes. He said my eyeballs literally looked as if someone had sanded them with sandpaper. He was very sympathetic and jumped right into the resolution mode. He prescribed me with some eye drops and told me to get plenty of rest. With each drop that burned liked fire, my vision got better and better. Within a week I was well enough to open my eyes and tolerate the healing process. Dr. Miller became a hero in my eyes and to my eyes that day and has been nothing but professional since. His staff is down to earth, polite and friendly. I highly recommend Dr. Miller.

I Have to take a moment to express my appreciation and gratitude to the people here at Irmo Eye center. I came in last week for an emergency visit they were able to see me within 20 minutes the customer service and hospitality was 100% satisfaction I came back the following Tuesday for a follow up appointment I was on time for my appointment and I was called back within 4 minutes. Once again the customer service and hospitality was 100% satisfaction. I will most certainly recommend to all of my friends and family as I will also be returning for future appointments! Thank you guys so much!!

I have seen a lot of eye doctors in my life I have been wearing glasses since I was 10 I am57 now Dr Miller is one of the best we started with my mom she had a ulcer on her eye and he took the time to meet us on a Sunday and check her eye because he was concerned about her. He has done surgery on me and I think he's great but like all good Droctors you will have to wait to see him

I have had several major issues with my Eyes and have been a patient of Dr. Miller's for several years. Despite a lifetime of poor vision and retina problems, he perfectly replaced my lenses with cataract surgery. I was told by my specialist to not expect much, but now have 20/20 vision both eyes. I highly recommend for his surgical skill, professional staff and excellent care!

Thank you to Dr. Miller and staff for a new lease on my life! In 2018 I had both eyes with cataracts corrected. What impressed me the most, is Dr. Miller asking me questions about what my future might hold, and I said a sea captain. Nurse snickered, but today I post this review from my sailboat in Bermuda. Three types of lenses were discussed, and I'm very happy with mine, being good for distance AND reading, for charts, etc. I've thanked them privately ever since. McQueen Smith

I was a patient last year and no complaints. After receiving a card in the mail reminding me to get an annual eye exam I called during business hours and received a recording to leave a message. It is now a week later and no one has bothered to call me back. I'm just grateful this is not an emergency.

After calling Dr Millers office and speaking to the lady in optical about getting my eye glasses prescription, she was rude to me. I had surgery when i wa an infant and I have to have my eyes checked annually by an ophthalmologist. I was told no appointment available for very long time. Dr MILLER just lost me as a patient. They do not care about you!! They are rude
