If you are considering cataract surgery here and expect a coordinated, professional process that results in clear vision and properly fitted glasses, be prepared for a very different experience.
I am now entering my third month of repeated back-and-forth with this office. What should be a standardized medical process has been marked by disorganization, poor follow-through, and a complete lack of accountability. There appears to be no clear system to ensure patients transition efficiently from surgery to final corrective lenses -- which is the entire point.
While a few staff members are courteous, the overall operation feels chaotic and poorly managed.
More concerning is the outcome. I am now experiencing blurry vision and eye pain that I did not have prior to cataract surgery. Nearly three months later, this is not just frustrating -- it is unacceptable.
Communication has been equally problematic. Reaching someone who can provide real answers is extremely difficult. Returned calls come without voicemail, meaning if you miss the call, you are forced to restart the entire process. That is not patient-centered care.
At this point, I will be seeking services elsewhere and strongly encourage leadership to evaluate their operational standards, communication protocols, and post-surgical patient care process.
Patients trust you with their vision. This level of dysfunction should concern corporate leadership.
I highly recommend Carolina Centers for Sight to everyone. Everyone is so wonderful and caring! I couldn't make it to some appointments and all I did was reach out to them for my ear drop refills and they did it for me. They even gave me an emergency sample just in case. My husband was ill and the were just there for me and when I finally made it to my appointment they made sure that they took care of me very well.
Today was my very time here and the atmosphere when you first walk in is so pleasant and inviting. It is so beautiful on the inside and very relaxing. The staff is so pleasant, polite, sweet and very helpful. They even made me laugh, and with my anxiety it was well needed. Even the sweet lady that helped me pick out my glasses had my best interest at heart. And she was so patient with me but she made sure my glasses fit me, as well as blended well with my skin tone. She was full of smiles and laughter too. I love her spirit, But the highlight of my visit was my doctor. Dr. Rachel Ferguson, OD she was so sweet, very soft spoken. Did a very awesome thorough exam. She listened to me, she did not interupt me. She was so gentle with everything she did and said. Her spirit is very calm and humble. It was a very well-worth it, very relaxed and stress free experience. Where care and compassion was the topic from start to finish. I highly recommend them to anyone and everyone. Because they are definitely my permanent eye care home.
Currently not real happy with these folks. I called in October 2025 to schedule an appointment. I needed it for early March 2026 because anything before then wouldn't be covered by insurance as it would be too soon.
So tell me why I got a text this morning that my appointment had been changed to late February without me having spoken to anyone from this office?!
When I called to find out what was going on, I was told they tried to contact me. With what, smoke signals? Because I haven't had a single phone call from this office! I went back and checked my call logs to be sure - not one call.
I was able to change the appointment to a day later than my original appointment. I also had the person I spoke with add a note that my appointment is not to be changed without them actually speaking to me and getting my consent to do so.
Unless you actually speak to a patient, you should not be changing their appointment! You have no idea what their schedule is like or if the arbitrary date/time you picked will even work for them.
This review will be updated once I've had my appointment. I intend to speak to the practice manager at that time about this incident. They need to be made aware that patients are being rescheduled without staff actually speaking to them and getting consent to change the appointment.
Such a wonderful group of doctors and office staff. They have always been great, helpful, and very patient in each phase of treatment. I couldn't ask for a better group. Very satisfied
The whole experience was lengthy. Everyone was very nice. Tyler explained everything he was doing and why , which was very helpful.Brittany was very sweet, she took her time and made us feel very comfortable while checking our eyes.
Dr Greene was very nice, and informative about cateract surgery, and what would be the best lens for our eyes. He took the time to answer all me questions about tge procedure.
Everyone from signing in to signing out was polite, knowledgeable and friendly. I never felt rushed or hurried. Love this facility.
Dr Ferguson couldn't have been nicer.
I am an early riser; therefore, I appreciate having the first appoint of the day. Everything flies smoothly and professionally. The staff are all very attentive and knowledgeable. Exactly the manner in which I appreciate being hxx as fled. Great day today!!
