Sterling Eye Care

I want to start off by saying doctors visits of any kind make me nervous. I visited the office last week with questions, which the front desk happily answered and helped me set up an appointment for an exam. Dr. Bergelt and the staff that assisted me today were amazing, friendly and quick to get me on my way. Thank you for being able to see me and i look forward to using this office in the future.

Today was our first visit here for my son. The staff were friendly, and the doctor was knowledgeable and great with my son. However, we waited almost 50 minutes past our scheduled appointment time before being seen. I'm not sure if this was just an unusually busy day or if this is common, but no one informed us about the delay when we checked in. A couple of people in the waiting room actually left and rescheduled because of the long wait. Once we were finally seen, there was no acknowledgment or apology for the delay, which was disappointing. I understand that schedules can run behind at times, but a simple update when checking in and an apology afterward would have gone a long way.

Their appointments are not on time!! They open at 0900, I had an 0945 appointment. At 1016, I rescheduled...they were wasting my time! Only open for 45 minutes and already behind by over 30 minutes!!!!! NOT COOL AT ALL. What do you think they'd do if I showed up 30 late for my appointment?!? This is not the first time they have been very far behind for my appointment.

I don't know the lady name that helped me but she fantastic I had been having the hardest time all year trying to find someone that accepted my insurance. The lady told me that did not accept my insurance at this location but another location in Columbia (Forest Dr Walmart) did however did. She didn't have to tell me cause no where else I called was able to advise who might be in network. Also this facility is inside Eyemart their staff didn't even make me aware of this place I found out from a friend. Eyemart just simply told me no they don't accept my insurance. Anyway this location was great she spoke highly of them for good reason.

My three children and myself recently visited Doctor's Eye Center and couldn't be more pleased with this facility. The entire staff was very nice and attentive. They were wonderful with my children! We had a very short wait time in the lobby and moved very quickly through each section once in the back. The Dr has very good beside manner, my girls loved him! I spent days going through reviews online stressing over where we would go for our eye care and I am pleased to say that we found our place! Thank you all for taking such good care of us!

Brought my 7 year old daughter for an eye exam. Staff was friendly and fast. Dr. Buck was amazing! He explained everything he was doing to her and made her feel very comfortable, explained the vision problems he found, and they ordered her glasses that day. Very satisfied mama!

The wait time was a little long, but once they called my daughter (4) back, it didn't take long at all. They are very patient and kind to the children. Very passionate in what they do. I'd recommend them to anyone. Didn't know my daughter had seeing problems, but we now have glasses and things are better.

BE WARNED: The new management here will hold your records hostage. The DMV requires you to provide a code from the eye doctor to prove you have had an eye exam within the last 12 months in order to renew your license. When I called today to get my code, I was told that because I had not had an eye exam within the last THREE months, they would not release my records. Even though I just had an eye exam 5 months ago, they are telling me I have to come back in for a completely new exam and pay for a new exam in order for them to give me the code and my records. I have called around and other eye doctors in town do not require this. Our family have been patients here for 12 years but we are now taking our business elsewhere.
