Bellevue Medical Center | Augenarzt am Bellevue in Zurich

I went to Dr Botonakis in desperation. I had seen several oftanmologists before, tried several glasses and nothing was helping. He was kind and more importantly, extremely knowleagable and professional. Following his suggestions (simple and cost-effective), I was able to solve my issues after many months of complete and utter despair.

This clinic is an absolute waste of money (and time) and I would recommend anyone to look elsewhere for qualified and professional service. I overpaid, I was given the wrong information by the doctor, and my attempts to get in contact with them afterwards were ignored for over 3months (so far...). I booked an appointment in July to check whether or not I am eligible for an LASIK operation. When I arrived at the clinic they performed a wide range of tests, and I had a short discussion with Dr. Locher who informed me that yes, my sight is stable and other pre-conditions for a successful LASIK-operation also apply to me. So he referred me to one of the clinics in Zurich that can actually perform that kind of operation. Interestingly, once I arrived at the LASIK clinic, they ran their own quick test (took less than five minutes) for free, after which they instantly told me that I am better advised to wait another couple of years before performing the operation. The reason being that my eye sight has deteriorated (they found out by simply comparing my current eye sight with my last prescription from 2 years ago). Shortly afterwards I received a bill of CHF 500 from Dr. Locher. So they tested me on all kinds of things that I did not ask them to test me on - and for the one thing I cared about they misinformed me. You'd think that for CHF 500 they would actually compare my current eyesight with my old glass prescription but I guess not... On top of that, I've been trying to get in contact with the the Bellevue Medical Center and ask them to send me the remaining test results so that I could store them in my files. Since July my questions were either ignored or distracted. Overall just an absolutely disgraceful place.

Absolut empfehlenswert! Ich kam als Notfall und wurde sofort behandelt. Kompetenz und Stil vereint. Freundlicher Empfang und sehr guter Augenarzt.

Nach entsprechenden Augenkontrolle haben wir vor rund zwei Jahren zwei Sonnenbrillen mit geschliffenen Glasern bestellt. Da wir uns hauptsachlich in den Tropen aufhielten, brockelte die Schutzschicht aussen auf den Brillenglasern ab, was nicht normal war. Herr Ballata hat uns unkompliziert, effizient und hochst professionell diese Glaser ersetzen lassen. Ohne Kosten. Meiner Frau wurden sogar das wegen der starken UV Strahlung kaputte Brillengestell ersetzt. Wir betrachten dies als ausserst kundenfreundlichen und professionellen Service und Ablauf. Ich bin punktlich zu meinem Termin in der Praxis erschienen. Nachdem ich 50 (!) Minuten gewartet habe und mich bei der Sprechstundenhilfe erkundigte, was denn los sei und warum ich noch nicht dran sei, musste ich mir in einem belehrenden Tonfall anhoren, dass man fur einen Arztbesuch mindestens eine Stunde Wartezeit einzuberechnen hatte. Dran gekommen bin ich dann trotzdem nicht und habe die Praxis ohne Behandlung verlassen. Ein netter Moment wenn man mit 55 Jahren von jungen Schnoseln das Leben erklart bekommt. ;)))

Ich bin seit sicher 20 Jahren sehr zufriedene Kundin von Bellevue Medical Center. Immer Top beraten, behandelt. Termine am Telefon waren nie ein Problem. Immer sind alle freundlich, vorkommen und die Behandlung - bei mir vorwiegend durch Dr. Botonakis - sind einfach SPITZE. Naturlich kommt es ab und zu zu Verspatungen, aber das passiert auch anderswo und fur mich kein Grund um die Praxis zu wechseln oder sie schlecht zu machen. Was zahlt ist doch die Arbeit der Arzte und des Personals.
