I have been going here for several years. I switched contact brands per their suggestion, but this brand has a habit of fogging up. They told me I would have to come in to be fitted for a new brand. I asked about the cost and was told that since I had gotten the prescription there, there would be no cost for the new fitting. I confirmed this a couple of times to make sure I wasn't misunderstanding. I took time off from work for this appointment. When I got there, they told me I would have to pay $220 for a new exam. I repeated what I had been told on the phone and the front desk went down the hallway to talk to someone else, a woman. I could hear her complaining in an irritated voice, "Well why did she wear them so long then? She's come in *three* times for fittings." Heaven forbid I want to have comfortable contacts and get what I paid for. I wore them so long because I work 7 days a week. Moreover, I did not come in demanding something for free, I had been told very clearly that there would be no cost. But to be spoken about like that by someone who calls herself a professional was beyond the pale.
Absolutely the worst experience we've ever had at an eye clinic. My wife has vision issues and needed her contacts adjusted properly. The technician clearly did not know what they were doing and became visibly frustrated when they couldn't get her prescription right. Instead of getting help or handling it professionally, they said "I can't do this" and walked away. When my wife went to leave, the door was slammed in her face. Completely unprofessional and disrespectful behavior. This place has zero customer care and I would not recommend it to anyone.
My son went here to get his glasses 4 weeks ago. They said 14 business days. 4 weeks later he still doesn't have them. Would NOT recommend them. Go to My Eye Doctor on Hatcher lane.
Megan went ABOVE & BEYOND for my father, his glasses were broken and he was seriously concerned and she took frames form the wall to even try to fix them, she made sure he walked out with working complete glasses and an eye exam later that same day..This gave him peace of mind, which is PRICELESS! Great Place!
IN DEPTH REVIEW: I would like to begin by stating that I have been a patient at this office for 5 years. I was being treated for simple vision needs and an ongoing condition. The amount of unprofessional behavior and lack of knowledge is what drove me to giving up the ghost. I no longer have the tolerance for incompetence. The technicians are a revolving door of poorly trained individuals. They lack integrity and manners. I guess that wasn't in the employee handbook. On multiple occasions I had to remind techs of simple oversights. Things which should have been taught on day one. A simple review of a patient's chart would clear up most errors. But that would require self awareness. I was asked, "What are you here for?" And "How are the drops working for you?" As if I had the ability to self read my own eye pressure. I once waited a whole hour past my appointment time. When I inquired about the hold up it was explained to me that an employee had a medical emergency. The details of said employee's emergency was described to me. First, I don't believe your fellow employee would approve of their private medical information being announced. Second, that's not the patient's fault and your office should inform the patients of your delayed schedule at check in. Not let them wait around for an hour and then guilt trip them for asking about it. I should have been offered a re-schedule at least. I had my children in the care of someone else and an hour delay is quite the wrench thrown in. It seems that this place is either a testing facility for newly graduated optometrists or a place for them to "pay their dues". Once I got established with a doctor and felt comfortable with their treatment plan, they would up and disappear only to be replaced by someone else. I'm tired of re-explaining my situation and having to start a completely different treatment plan. One cannot handle that much whiplash when it involves vision. Part of my misery is self inflicted due to the inconvenience of finding a new provider, as well as the hope of finally getting a treatment plan up and going. Fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me, fool me thrice I'm a glutton for punishment. Obviously, I will be going to a different provider ASAP. This last beef is probably a personal one seeing as I'm a bit old fashioned: crocs, leggings, and "lounge wear" have no place in a professional medical office. Your employees shouldn't appear as if they woke up 10 minutes ago. There should be a clear distinction between employee and patient. I will enjoy my new found freedom in a private practice. To anyone considering this office: Godspeed.
While the staff was friendly, the actual optometrist told us my mother needed cataract surgery. He then referred us to an opthamologist. When we took her to the ophthalmologist, she advised us my mother already had cataract surgery and she said she could see it plain as day on the eye exam pictures. She was not even sure why we referred to her or how Eye Car Plus missed it. Disappointed in competency of the
doctor here.
We absolutely love eyecare plus. My boys have always went there for xheck ups and what not. They are super nice and tell you everything ya need to know. Go check em out and tell em Tasha sent ya.
The worst place you could go,the level of incompetence is way beyond what you could imagine, These people that work don't care about the service they provide, went in there to order a pair of glasses and went back a month later and they said the order wasn't put in,so the so-called manager ordered them and it was the wrong frames and prescription, this is the most terrible place to go I HIGHLY RECOMMEND YOU BY-PASS THIS PLACE ALTOGETHER!!!
