New and current review: I just left Clancy's for my annual lenses update! I've reviewed Clancy's before but want to continue to reiterate the wonderful customer service Joe provides. He is kind and wants the clients to be 100%+ before leaving. His patience in working with clients is exemplary! I feel he is a perfectionist and that's to the customer's advantage. Keep up the amazing job Joe! Previous review: My husband and I have used Clancy's exclusively for many years. Joe is absolutely amazing! He takes customer service to a whole new level! He knows his customers and what types of glasses they like and spends the needed time to ascertain they are happy with their choices. Joe is meticulous with his measurements and he knows what he's doing. We've never had to return glasses due to an error. He truly cares about his clients and wants them to be happy with their purchases. He is a true professional and a very personable gentleman too. We enjoy working with him. We highly recommend Joe.

Clancy's is the best optical store in Knoxville, in my opinion. I've purchased glasses from them for over 20 years. Joe is excellent with helping me and my husband choose the right frames for our face and budget. He is meticulous with details and I have never been disappointed. I could tell you many specific instances of Joe going above and beyond to help us.

I've been getting my glasses all over Knoxville for 31 years. I finally found a place that made my glasses and it was perfect at first time I wore it. Joe is very professional and truly knows what he is doing. I wish I knew Clancy optical before. Thanks so much for making my life easier.

One morning, my glasses' frame broke while I was cleaning them. Fortunately, I had an old pair from a previous prescription, but I needed new ones urgently. I started at the chain store where I had purchased the broken ones, but they didn't have what I was looking for. I tried another chain store and got the same response. I used to go to Spex, but it's far from my home, so I stopped going there. I called Spex, which used to be Clancy Optical, and they didn't have the frame I wanted either. However, they mentioned that their other store, Clancy Optical in Franklin Square, did carry the Flexon brand frames or could get them. I rushed to Clancy Optical in Franklin Square and met Joe, who was fantastic! He listened to my needs and understood the urgency. He found a frame like I wanted and a style I liked on line. He called the distributor to check if it was in stock, and it was! He ordered it for overnight delivery to take the necessary measurements for the progressive lenses. The next day, the frame arrived, and I went in to get the measurements done. Joe ordered the lenses rush, and I had them within a week. They are perfect! Joe is professional and personable. And I highly recommend him and Clancy! I'm thrilled to know Clancy Optical has this store, and I'll be going there for all my eyewear needs from now on. Goodbye, chain eyewear stores! I'm shopping local again!

I cannot recommend Clancy Optical more highly, as well as Joe! I took my Mother to purchase her very first eye glasses at age 74. Joe was ever so patient, genteel, descriptive and supportive. Mother chose a pair that seemed perfect BUT after wearing them for two weeks she began to have headaches. We went back to visit Joe and she selected another option just perfect for her. It was a great success. On the day we picked them up, the Clancy family was at the Kingston Pike store to visit Joe. We had the most lovely chat about their family history. Such warm, wonderful folks and knowing how hard they have worked as a family is so valuable. And....Joe is truly more than an optician but a caring friend and was so kind to my Mother and me. Go to Clancy Optical! You will be treated like family and all of your needs heard and understood!

I just walked in at Clancy Optical after reading so many great reviews. The reviews were spot on! Joe looked at my favorite, but warped, sunglasses and said he was willing to repair them right then and there. After being told from another store that they couldn't be fixed, he performed a miracle and I was thrilled! Joe is professional, friendly, and provides excellent customer service.

In 50+ years of wearing prescription glasses, I have never received the care that I received from Joe Cagley. He took a great deal of time to help me choose frames and even more time measuring and remeasuring to ensure that the lenses would be placed perfectly. The glasses came back more quickly than promised and the price was less than expected. I am so pleased with my new glasses and recommend Joe @ Clancy's @ Franklin Square to anyone who wants personalized care from an experienced optician who clearly wants to help others.

Great Service! This was my first experience with Clancy Optical and will definitely not be my last!I just came back with a new set of glasses and Joe took the time to make sure the glasses fit me perfectly before I left.
