Dr. Seth and his team are absolutely incredible. After losing much of my vision to migraines, I was shuffled between multiple eye doctors, neurologists, ENT's, and more over the course of three years. It wasn't until coming to this office that I had someone able to definitively answer my questions and diagnose my issue. It is not hyperbole to say vision therapy quite literally gave me my life back. My therapist Caitlin was amazing, answering probably a million questions I had and more. I had never heard of this kind of therapy before, and her knowledge and patience was very reassuring. As with all therapy, it takes time, but is more than worth it. Thank you all, Dr. Seth and everyone, for everything you do.
This office addresses vision therapy to help my daughter's eye sight. My daughter whose had eye problems her entire life had learned that terrible sight was normal. We had been to several doctors and we were lead to believe it couldn't be fixed. Within 3 months at this office she was amazed at how much better she could see. When a preteen looks forward to her appointment because she knows her vision is improving you can't argue with results. This isn't your traditional eye doctor but the results are outstanding.
Five stars doesn't even begin to cover it. Everyone at this clinic is amazing! They're kind, compassionate, and make the entire experience an enjoyable one. Dr. Seth really took his time to make sure that I was heard. All I can say is that I wish I would have started my eye care journey here!
The worst part of my visit (if you want to call it that) was seeing an old episode of Fixxer Upper on TV. What do you mean someone bought a NICE house for 35K?!
Our family has been seeing Dr. Rhyne for many years. He corrected my son's vision, and switched his dominant eye with glasses and vision therapy, now he doesn't need glasses anymore. He stopped my headaches that were being caused by excessive eye pressure , and fixed my wife's depth perception problem with prism lenses. He's old, he's a character, and knows knows his craft well.
This place has been an absolute godsend. The staff was friendly informative and very caring they loved on both my children and informed me that my daughter does not need eye surgery they will be able to help correct her problem with therapy. I highly recommended this practice!
Very disappointed. I went to East TN Binocular vision for my recent eye exam. I purchased new lenses and when I picked them up I explained that the prescription was wrong. They said the Dr wasn't there. I was urged and instructed to go ahead and take the glasses and try them and we could review the lenses in the follow up appointment. I literally tripped on the door when I walked out. They never called to schedule the follow up. I am a cancer patient currently undergoing a new diagnosis. I haven't heard from this office in 4 weeks, so I stopped by today and again explained this was the wrong prescription. I work outside on various terrain, I have tripped and fallen 5 times, nearly impaling myself. The Doctor here is refusing a refund of any kind (I paid cash). I have had 12+ Dr appointments in the past 8 weeks, I don't have time to sit for another exam. Perhaps if he had gotten the prescription right the first time, I wouldn't have to come back. Dr. Rhyne was just rude, unsympathetic and unapologetic. He's old and needs to retire.
My son was referred to ETBVC by a therapist at Children's Hospital. He always scored well on check-up vision tests and when the Vision van came to his Knox County school. He had trouble with balance and reading. Since he had always scored well on vision tests, I never suspected these were vision issues. The therapist explained more and how Dr. Rhyne had helped so many of their patients. I made an appointment immediately. Dr. Rhyne explained how his eyes were jumping and not working together to send information to the brain. He was prescribed "prism" glasses and over the years has gone through 2 rounds of vision therapy. We noticed an immediate improvement when he got the glasses. When he did the vision therapy his balance improved significantly, even more with the second round.
Dr. Rhyne further explained that this is a very common issue and often runs in families. I knew I struggled with losing my place when reading and I was labeled klutzy as a kid, so I scheduled an appointment and in no time I also had prism glasses. They have helped tremendously with my balance, reading and even helped with my headaches and migraines (I have since added a magnesium supplement that has almost eliminated my migraines).
Upon hearing all of this my older son realized he had been seeing double his whole life. He never had trouble reading or with balance like my younger son, but saw objects duplicated and overlapping about 70 percent and thought everyone saw that way. His brain had compensated in an incredible way, but the glasses Dr. Rhyne prescribed allowed him to see clearly for the first time and have changed his life!
Beware This doctor refuses to listen. Dr. Rhyne doesn't listen to his patients when they complain of an issue with their prescription. If Dr Rhyne thinks you have the right prescription, there is *nothing* you can say to convince him otherwise. Since I started to see him I thought he was good until I had my second pair of prisms. I was to have far distance prisms which come to find out I don't have far distance prisms and in the first place didn't need prisms for far distance only need them for reading. I only have double vision in one eye with I told him this but he puts it down that I have it in both eyes.so I went in after waiting 2 months to get my lenses that the company they use don't know how to make them right and they miss your order up it happened twice. When he argued with me when I told him the prescription where not going to work he said they where the right prescription with they Cleary where not so I wore them from October 21st until I get my new prescriptions from my new eye doctor at the end of April. DR Rhyne said I would not find another eye doctor. We'll DR Rhyne doesn't use the medical terms for your vision he just says your eyes and brain are not working to together which is not what my eyes are doing I found out that both of my eyes have different medical terms ..This eye doctor explains it way better then DR Rhyne . I Think DR RHYNE Needs to retire because he can really make your vision worse. So if it's in your best inrest to always go get a different oppion don't let the doctors think they know you better then you know yourself. Be ware and listen to yourself not a doctor that will argue with and tell you that if you don't wear the prisms that makes your vision more blurry and causes more dizziness. Plus doesn't do distance prescription and only close up. When I clearly tried to tell him but he refused to listen and also he doesn't believe in chiropractors . Because some if the dizziness I was dealing with was do to misalignment in my c1 and c2 . So I went to see and upper spine chiropractor and I'm glad I did because it has helped me a lot also . Go get 10 oppions if your not getting any results because this is my 5 th eye doctor I have seen now .
