Volunteer Eyecare (Halls)

It's a shame that I had to pay for their failures. I've been coming here for years and something has changed with their progressive bifocals. They order them from a third-party and grind the lenses to fit the respective frames. My recent pair of glasses had an extremely narrow field of view and the prescription was too strong. They were very accommodating in remaking them. Unfortunately, there was no improvement. They made a 3rd pair, but they were still wrong and causing headaches. Because each return/remake requires 2 trips to the clinic, I could no longer take time off from work for additional trial and error. I asked for a refund and they agreed. So I made a 7th trip to clinic only to be refunded 1/2 the purchase price. I was told that that was their policy and considered 1/2 the purchase price a deposit (even though I paid in full when I purchased them). Long story short, they failed 3 times to make the correct glasses, kept $400, and I walked away empty handed. Thanks guys.

This place is a joke. When I made an appointment I was never told that they would charge me $275 for a contact lens exam even though my eye insurance covers this and has a small copay for exam. Then they said that I would pay more for my lenses when they are ordered. They didn't do anything to resolve this issue. Highway robbery here. Especially when I've had the same eye insurance for 8 years and know my coverage. Don't waste your time unless you're made out of money

Both my kids go here and they're amazing, patient and listens and helps them feel comfortable, never felt rushed for a moment truly appreciate the staff! Definitely recommend

Why wait 1 month for eye glasses over incompetent staff members. Just go to Visionworks at 2960 Miller Pl way Knoxville 37924 and get them the same day.

Never been here, but maybe I should pop in next time I need an eye exam. I always drive by their business and have a good giggle from their sign. This month's sign is by far my favorite...coming from a super fan of *NSYNC. So, to the millennial who created this sign: you made my day, major kudos, and can we be friends?

Beware. Even if your insurance card says no deductible volunteer eye care will bill you after the fact they have not done this in previous years this is a new calm they got going. If you don't pay the $40 they put it on your credit. Or so they say. I am reporting them to not only social security but the board as well I'm going to pay them their $40 but they will not extort another penny from me

Dr. Anderson was great and so understanding. He explained everything so well and a nice guy!

I've never been here as a patient, this 5 star review is purely for the signage. I look forward to reading the new jokes or funny sayings when I drive by!
