Dr. Salley and his staff are wonderful! I love coming for my visits. It's very easy to communicate with the office through their messaging system. Dr. Salley is personable, easy to talk to, and highly knowledgeable and skilled. He is also one of the very few doctors in the area that specializes in scleral lenses and BVD, and in my opinion, he is the best. I highly recommend him for both routine eye care and specialty lenses!
I had my first-ever appointment here yesterday, and I couldn't be more impressed. The facility is incredibly modern and comfortable, which made me feel at ease right away. Beyond the tech, the staff is hands-down the best I've encountered in any medical office. They were professional, welcoming, and genuinely helpful. If you're looking for a top-tier optometrist, look no further. I'm so glad I chose to visit Dr. Salley.
Dr Salley is very thorough and I feel like I am a n great hands with his care. The staff is very professional . There is a very nice selection of affordable fashionable frames to select from. I love that his pup is there to pet too!
I wanted to give an honest and thoughtful review for my family's experience at Clearview, so here goes.
We are a military family (this opinion is my own in my personal capacity) with an 11 year old who had a serious eye injury (corneal laceration) a few years ago that resulted in multiple procedures. We've successfully avoided corneal transplants through use of Rigid Gas Permeable (RGP) lenses which allowed him to see to 20/50. One of our hopes was that a scleral lens would allow even better vision without the discomfort associated with RGP lens wear.
In that vein, our ophthalmologist recommended Dr. Salley at Clearview to see if a scleral lens could work. We met with Dr. Salley and he went through the process of fitting my son for a scleral lens which eventually got him to 20/25 and even a letter or two on the 20/20 line. Basically a miracle given where we started and my son's injury. So Dr. Salley did the job amazingly well. But it wasn't just that he got us there, it was how.
Dr. Salley and I agreed to a flat pricing model, and as he briefed us, it usually took only one or two re-fittings to get it comfortable/right. We had some time before my family moved overseas so the timeline wasn't a concern initially. For whatever reason, my son's scleral lens kept creating small irritations for him, even when the imaging suggested the fit was "right." Dr. Salley basically kept going, kept re-fitting, and kept calling in favors from the lab that makes the lenses to rush a new lens for us before we moved even when the information and data suggested to him (and to me), we weren't likely to get any better from a fit and vision perspective. He was, in short, dedicated and selfless. He had my money already and the pricing was flat, so every fitting and every new lens we ordered meant he was losing money in the process - in other words, he was picking our interests over his.
But I can tell you it never felt like commerce was involved, it felt like he was only worried about doing his best by my son. And for that, I will always love Dr. Salley, will be in his debt, and I can say without reservation that I recommend him to you and your family.
I highly recommend Dr. Salley and Clearview. I've had several eye surgeries and every doctor I had been to gave me little hope of vision improvement. I asked one doctor if he thought Scleral contacts might help and he said Dr. Salley was the best in our area at fitting these lenses. I've had them only a week, but the improvement in my vision and quality of life is nothing short of remarkable. It is obvious Dr. Salley loves what he does and truly cares about his patients. The same can be said of his entire office staff. Everything about Clearview has been a pleasant experience.
Clearview is literally changing my life! Not to be dramatic, but literally. Dr. Salley has a specialization that will help my eye muscles realign better. We think from a few concussions my eye muscles have misaligned (one over works and one underworks). Through his expertise and care he has been able to have special lenses created for me to see correctly. When we got to the sample lenses and went outside I was truly in shock. I saw The world differently. My head didn't need to tilt to one side to compensate. I was Able to look ahead of me and straight verse looking at the ground to make sure I don't fall. My eyes were even less sensitive to the bright sun. Needless to say, I didn't want to take the sample lenses off. I am beyond grateful and suggest any person struggling with headaches, off balance, and blurred vision to go see him. He is truly an expert in his field and a light to this world. Thank you again Clearview
My appointment went really well. Dr. Sally was patient and took his time answering every question I had. The staff was so welcoming, sweet, and helpful from the moment I walked in. They explained everything clearly and even used analogies to make sure I understood. I honestly enjoyed my visit and felt completely comfortable the whole time.
The whole office treated us like family. My 94 year old father needed new glasses and he was treated with kindness and respect. I think they did a great job at a great price to help him be able to watch TV again.
