I am a regular client of these optometry services. This was my second visit, the first being last year and the most recent one just recently. I really appreciate the modern and cozy interior. Everything is always on time, and the eye exams are conducted with state-of-the-art equipment. They also offer a wide selection of stylish frames to suit any taste. The service is always excellent! I absolutely love my frame and my glasses. Every time I wear them, I receive so many compliments!
This was my first visit to Eye Society on Poplar in Memphis, Tennessee, and I was truly impressed. Dr. David Haba was my Physician, and he was extremely professional, kind, attentive, and helpful. He provided great advice regarding my migraines and explained how a particular option could help alleviate them. Before my eye exam, I had the pleasure of speaking with a very friendly and helpful woman. She made me feel welcome and comfortable and I wish I had her name. After the exam, Mr. Matt assisted me with picking out my new glasses. He was incredibly helpful, patient because I tried on a ton of glasses. He had the same taste as I did, and was great at his job. Matt was super knowledgeable, making the entire process smooth and enjoyable.
Even though I live in Mississippi, I will gladly make the drive because I've found my new eye doctor. I highly recommend Eye Society to anyone looking for a professional and pleasant optometry experience!
Where's SYDNEY? Ok so I called over a dozen times this morning since they opened and around noon Taylor decides to finally answer the phone. Nonchalantly as she always is I oroceeeded to tell her I just wanted to confirm my appointment was for in the morning February 10, 2025 @830am but she said it was scheduled for next Tuesday because Dr. Hanson was out all week. I informs her that I wasn't aware that the doctor would not be in and that I'm glad I called to confirm my own appointment because no one sent me a reminder or a text per usual as to the appointment I had just scheduled on last Thursday. When I got off phone to confirm my appointment I still had not received a message or email as to I had an up and coming on February 18, 2025. And as of writing this review I have yet to get a confirmation about my appointment. I'm writing as to the subtle spirit thatvjas always surrounded this place since Ove been going here once and with my daughter over the past few years. I've always addressed my concerns to Sydney and she has always reassured me it is not what o think. Let me be clear that the doctor I see was fantastic but these receptionist have always had this nice nasty attitude towards me. It's like you're not welcomed here type feelings. It's applauding because I don't have insurance and I pay out of pocket for an expensive exam and contacts but I'm treated like I'm on welfare and everything is free! But on May case Ove taken my business elsewhere.
First time customer attending Eye Society...I must say the raved reviews did not disappoint in any way. Visited this place on Thursday and the minute I walked in, the staff was very personable and friendly. It didn't stop there. Dr. Smith was really cool and prior to my exit their optical technician, Dixie was also a jewel. My only regret is not knowing the name of the other young lady but please know you were also exceptional. Looking forward to receiving my new specs and definitely coming back to this place again!
Absolute best eye doctor ever. I now live on the East Coast and whenever I fly to Memphis I make sure to plan my appointments around my time there. That's how great everyone is. They're so nice, personable, and helpful. They also have the best glasses selection I've ever seen. Picked out my new Dior's with Dixie- love her!
Every part of the experience was outstanding. They were ready for me exactly at my appointment time. Dr. Mormon is outstanding and takes time with the visit. The techs and assistants are amazing -- friendly and helpful. They were familiar with my vision plan and made helpful suggestions based on their knowledge of my benefits. All in all, a GREAT visit and a great place. I recommend them without reservation.
I must be honest. I went to another place and immediately didn't like the staff, I left. I went straight to Google and looked for reviews. I found The Eye Society had 5 stars. Shocked, I went straight to them. Immediately upon entering I was met by Dixie. I was so surprised to learn she was not from the south after talking with her. She is everything good about the south...warm, friendly, helpful, and easy going. She makes you feel good about having to wear glasses. The other young lady (sorry I forgot her name) she was very helpful with my insurance. Matt, he is so easy going and professional I thought he was the doctor. Dr. Hoba in one word, great!! Warm, easy to talk too, and informative. He could teach other doctors a thing or many about their bedside manners. He made me feel I need to do better by my eyes without saying it. Already recommending to everyone I know. Don't change a thing!
