Dr. Gerald Eistensatt was excellent--very knowledgeable and informative. I would highly recommend him. Unfortunately, my experience with the customer service staff at this location was disappointing. When ordering my contact lenses, I was not presented with any options; I was simply given a total cost. I later had to suggest purchasing only a six-month supply to reduce the price, which should have been discussed from the start. I was also not offered the option to have my contacts shipped to my home, which my previous eye doctor routinely provides.
Later, when I needed a copy of my contact lens prescription because I was unable to pick up the contacts ordered through the store--and they were no longer available--the customer service representative I spoke with was uninformative and dismissive. She stated that the prescription could not be emailed to me, despite the office having my email address on file for over five years. As an insurance agent, I am aware that HIPAA verification can be completed verbally when prior consent is already on file, which I recall signing at a previous visit.
I ultimately contacted a different location and received my prescription via email in under ten minutes. The downtown location would greatly benefit from a receptionist who is attentive, professional, and fully committed to providing proper customer service.
My daughter and I so LOVE it here
Especially Taylor she's genuine and was so kind.
My daughter and I felt welcomed, loved, an so appreciate. The doctors treated my daughter well. explain everything they were going to do and the purpose of it. They were so professional. So gentle so kind. I will recommend parents to bring their child/children. You won't be disappointed.
I am very disappointed by the treatment of the staff and the disrespect shown to me as a patient, with no consideration for my time. I made an appointment more than a week ago and entered all of my information, including my insurance details. I checked again the day before my appointment to double-check that the insurance information was correct. I even confirmed via phone three days before.
I arrived at the office half an hour before my scheduled appointment. When I arrived and completed the paperwork, I confirmed with the receptionist that they should already have my insurance information since I had submitted it online in advance. After a while, the receptionist told me they had nothing on file. I then provided all of the information again, and she repeatedly insisted they still did not have it, while also telling me that I was making the doctor late.
The receptionist was extremely rude. After repeatedly checking my last name, she suggested that my name must be spelled differently. After being asked the same question several times, I told her that I am certain I know how to spell my own last name. This felt to me as racist, I have two last names and after spelling it, she keep telling me "should be hyphen".
Despite the fact that it was already the time of my appointment and the doctor was clearly busy with another patient, I was told that I was causing him to run behind and that I should reschedule because the doctor was "pretty busy." Of course the doctor was busy -- I had an appointment.
This situation was completely disrespectful and failed to consider that I had already been in the office for over half an hour, the time I had to take off from work to be there, as well as the week that I didn't look for another provider. Unfortunately, I had seen several negative reviews online beforehand and decided to give this office a chance anyway, and once again, the experience was disappointing.
In December, I took off work for my appointment. Once I arrived, I was informed that my appointment had been canceled through their system at the middle of the night. I set a new appointment online for February and took off work again. The day before, I was informed that after playing phone tag all week because I had not "confirmed" my appointment, it had been set for "overflow" and that meant I could be seen at a different day or time. They won't have a third time to screw me over. Never again.
Fantastic group of folks! They take extra time & attention to explain the process and procedures, while providing detailed patient education into the "why we do it." The staff stayed late to assist me with styling my frames & were able to offer an insane promotion, which allowed me to walk out with 2 frames (with coating) for half the cost of my original pair. 10 out of 10 - this group is my forever eye doctor.
I visited the office a few days ago just pop in to see whats up. The sweet girl at the desk was so nice and knowledgable. Very soft spoken. It was a warm welcome. I am interested in making an appointment but what put me off was the volume coming from the back. It was super loud and you could hear some not so friendly comments from I think was other staff members but not sure. Maybe I'll try again
I rarely leave reviews, but my experience with this office warrants one.
I visited MyEyeDr two weeks ago and was told my replacement contact lenses would be ordered immediately and would arrive by Monday. I made it very clear at the appointment that I was completely out of contacts, and the staff provided me a 5-day supply to get me through until the order arrived.
That Monday came and went with no update. When I called, I was told that only one lens had arrived and the other would follow shortly. Another full week passed with no communication at all. As of today--two weeks after placing the order--I still have no contacts and no information about when they will arrive. Every update has required me to call them; not once has the office reached out with a status update or explanation.
Running out of medically necessary corrective lenses is extremely disruptive, and the lack of follow-through and communication from this office has been incredibly frustrating. A delay can happen, but not providing updates, missing multiple timelines, and leaving a patient without the ability to see properly is unacceptable.
I ultimately requested a refund and will be taking my business elsewhere. For comparison, I ordered the same contacts through 1-800-CONTACTS and they arrived in 24 hours for only a $10 premium. The difference in service speaks for itself.
Great optometrist and ophthalmologist. Terrible front of house and eye glasses store. At purchase, I was told my glasses would be ready in 2 weeks. Then, I waited three months for my glasses to be made and every time I called to follow up they treated me poorly.
