Buda Vision

Dr. Patel was such a breath of fresh air. She immediately caught what was off with my current contact prescription and even explained why my progressive lenses have been making my neck hurt. She's efficient and thorough, not rushed, and her friendly energy makes the whole appointment feel easy. I walked out finally understanding what was going on, and feeling genuinely taken care of.

The tech and the doctor both harped on the fact that I hadn't come in for an exam in over a year. I understand that it's recommended to come in every year but things happen, other medical bills took priority and outside factors made it difficult to come in for an appointment. I also have glasses to supplement my contacts so it just wasn't a priority for me. I've been wearing contacts since I was in middle school and I know how things work. I don't need to be lectured like a child over and over again when a simple reminder once would be sufficient. The doctor was also very rushed, it was very clear that she wanted to leave and barely spent 10 minutes with me. As soon as we were done, she walked me to the front so I could order my contacts and pay, walked to the back to grab her stuff, and then she left while I was still there getting things settled. If you don't want to be there later in the day then maybe cut your appointment times off earlier? She also sent me home with a pair of contacts that were not my prescription because my exact prescription wasn't in stock and said that I could still read the letters in 20/20 vision with them, they were just slightly more blurry than my regular prescription. I'd rather have gone home with nothing than to go home with a headache because the prescription was off and end up throwing the contacts away anyway. Honestly I've been going to this office and an alternate office in San Antonio since I moved here in 2013 and I've never had an issue. I'm not sure if it was because I was the last appointment of the day or something else but this experience seriously left me considering finding a different optometrist for the next appointment I make. The only reason I'm giving 2 stars is because the person who checked me in for my appointment and the person who helped me pay and order my contacts were super pleasant.

My daughter and I have been to several other locations and can now say this one is our favorite. The ladies there were so friendly. Even when pick up might have been an issue for me because I work so far away, they were so polite and helpful. Thank y'all so much!

Recently found this office and had no idea this was so close to where I live. Went in for my annual exam and Dr. Patel was very knowledgeable and gave me some education due to my personal medical circumstances that affect my vision. My previous Dr's Office failed to examine my eyes properly because I struggled and had to switch prescriptions multiple times and still had issues being able to see. The staff were courteous and helpful and the overall visit went very well. Very happy to have found Buda Vision for my vision needs. I would recommend them to anyone. The plus side is I no longer have to drive miles away.

Eye exam was very complete and DR. Patel and staff explained everything with the portions of the exam. While I was there I ordered two pairs of new glasses, (regular and sunglasses). They arrived promptly and required minimal adjustments. Would recommend to anyone seeking eye care.

It's been three weeks since we ordered glasses from Buda Vision, and we still haven't received any updates--no messages, no phone calls, nothing. This was our first visit, and unfortunately, it wasn't a great experience. Dr. Patel seemed rushed and impatient, especially when answering questions. She wasn't very friendly toward my 11-year-old son either. At one point, when she was applying eye drops for dilation, he squirmed a little, as most kids do. Instead of calmly reassuring him, she aggressively grabbed his face to force the drops in. When I asked follow-up questions about his vision, Dr. Patel appeared irritated. On top of that, the prices were extremely high. Now, we're still waiting for the glasses, and my son's current pair is nearly falling apart. I wouldn't recommend Buda Vision to anyone. In hindsight, I should have taken them to Budaful Eyes! My husband and I had a great experience there, and we received our glasses in under 1.5 weeks. I had high expectations for this place. 2 stars because the receptionists were sweet.
