Dr. Chavez and the staff at Budaful Eyes are the best. I drive from SE Austin because he's that good. I've been going to him since he was on Airport Blvd. He explains everything clearly without confusing jargon, just real answers. He's also been great at finding contact lenses that work for both my prescription and my budget. Highly recommend for anyone in the Buda area looking for an eye doctor who takes the time to care for patients.

I was in high school in the late 1900s and forced to take pre-calculus because someone decided I was smart. All the equations were written on a whiteboard, and where I sat made it nearly impossible to see anything. I came home convinced my grades were suffering because I literally could not see the board. Turns out I was right. I needed glasses. That kicked off my lifelong habit of yearly eye exams. It did not, however, help me pass pre-calculus.
I have seen a few eye doctors over the years, but a few years ago I found Dr. Chavez after reading Google reviews, and I have not gone anywhere else since.
The office staff is kind, friendly, and even conversational while running that eye pokey machine test. Dr. Chavez has a way of explaining things that makes them feel calm and manageable. As a worst-case-scenario type of person, I deeply appreciate that he is quick to reassure me when something is not, in fact, going to happen. He is knowledgeable, kind, fun, and even humors my sense of humor.

I went to Budaful Eyes because I have been having eye problems. I was pleasantly surprised by the pleasant and efficient staff. There wasn't a long wait, but I did have the first appointment after lunch. It was a very thorough exam and it as it turns out I have cataracts. The best part about my experience was the consultation from Dr. Chavez. He answered all of my questions in detail and suggested a course of action. I will be going for my annual eye exams at Budaful Eyes from now on.

I cannot recommend Dr. Chavez highly enough! I came to him with a severely irritated eye that had been bothering me for days after my local ophthalmologist was unable to find a solution that worked. Despite having an incredibly busy schedule, Dr. Chavez worked me in without hesitation. He quickly identified the issue and prescribed the perfect medication to treat it. Beyond the prescription, he also suggested a great OTC solution to help with the unsightly redness while my eye healed, which I really appreciated. To top it all off, he personally followed up with me the next day to make sure I was doing okay. It is rare to find a doctor who combines this level of expertise with such genuine compassion. Truly 5-star service!

Excellent Experience at Budaful Eyes Optometrist!
As soon as I walked in the door, I was greeted with a warm smile. I was attended to right at my appointment time and was in and out in about 30 minutes. Dr. Chavez was very patient and took the time to explain the results of my eye exam in a way I could easily understand. He answered all my questions clearly and professionally.
The staff was also amazing -- they helped me pick out the perfect frames and even printed out a detailed breakdown of the charges, showing exactly what my insurance covered and what my portion would be for both the exam and new glasses.
My wife was so impressed she scheduled her own appointment for an eye exam! I highly recommend Budaful Eyes Optometrist for anyone looking for friendly, professional, and efficient eye care.
