Another update: They ended up calling and we picked up my son's glasses and we received the receipt today. I've never been to a place where they don't give you the receipt right away. I was hoping this place would be a great experience, but didn't turn out that way.
Update: it's been 3 weeks and we still haven't received my son's glasses. Seems to be a little unorganized. I called and they said they would call me back for an update and never did.
I had a similar experience to another recent review. Everything was great until check out time. I loved the Dr and front desk staff. I know I have a great insurance and never had to pay more than $40 for my copay. This was our first time here and the costs just caught me off guard because I've used my insurance for myself and my family at other places and was familiar with what it covers and it never came out to over $100 and things weren't explained to me. I got the cost down to $65 and had them take some things out. It seemed as if some things were over looked on my insurance but oh well.

The staff was super friendly and welcoming. Dr. Jacob was super sweet and explained everything well. It was when I got to checkout that I struggled. The two ladies up front told me I owed $500 with very little explanation. I ended up opting out of paying for my contacts and just owing $200 after my insurance. This was the most expensive eye exam I have ever had. They did not explain anything prior indicating it would add up to that much. I was surprised with a big bill at the end. Although the staff is amazing, I don't know that paying $200 after insurance is worth going, especially when they don't explain very much to you at checkout. They seemed to be more concerned with me

I loved the doctor and had a great experience with her. I trusted her and her exam. I spent a lot of money out of pocket and was told my glasses would be ready in two weeks. It's been almost a month now and I've had zero communication. I've tried messaging them and calling. This turned a really first positive experience to a very negative experience.

The experience was enjoyable, educational, and they even had a good selection of frames. They worked together to get me the best pricing/insurance and Dr Jacob's is the best I've ever experienced! Dr. Erin Jacob at TSO in Buda Texas is awesome, I loved her . She is very professional, informative, friendly, and I learned a lot about my eyes from her I never knew before. I definitely recommend making a appointment with her. You will not regret it. I'm definitely making a appointment for my husband and dad to get there diabetic yearly eye exams with her. Another plus is they have a awesome collection of frames to choose from like Versace, Ray Ban, and alot of other brand names you'll love. I definitely love my new Versace black and gold frames I picked out. Thanks TSO.
