You will be in the best care with Dr. Kirkland. He is kind, professional, and extremely skilled in his field. He has cared for me and many family members. He saved my brother in law's eye sight and improved my dad's eye sight beyond what any other doctors thought possible. He's the best ophthalmologist in the business!

Dr. Kirkland removed my dad's cataract earlier this week and it made a huge improvement in his vision-- way better than my dad expected. Dr. Kirkland and his staff were so kind when treating my dad who has a fair amount of anxiety when it comes to medical procedures. We knew Kirkland would be great because he has also removed cataracts for my mom and my aunt. Highly recommend.

Dr. Kirkland is an exceptional doctor who truly cares about his patients. I'm so grateful for his compassion and expertise. Highly recommend!

I showed up for my appointment but was unable to see the doctor. I'm a veteran and the VA gives us a special VA number for billing and tells us NOT to give out our Social Security number. But the young lady at the front desk kept telling me she wouldn't check me in without my SSN. So I went outside to call asking for a manager. The person on the phone said they don't have a front desk or any manager. So I asked for the billing department. She said they didn't have a billing department. I asked to speak to the billing manager she said there was NONE. I told her I find that hard to believe. She asked why I was calling, insisting she could help me. I said to speak to a manager or owner. She said she needed to know why. Reading this, you are probably getting frustrated as I was. She called me by my name, although I didn't give her my name. She asked if I was calling from the front porch, and I said yes (they could see me as well). I told her I wanted to speak to her supervisor, and she said she didn't have one. I told her I didn't want to speak to her, so she handed the phone to the young lady next to her. And we started the ride all over again. They could see my frustration, and I told them the VA tells Veterans NOT to give out our SSN. They only ask for our last 4 digits at their clinic. When done it was 45 minutes later and I spoke to 3 different women each like a broken machine asking repeatedly for my SSN. I NEVER got checked in and never got past that darned front desk. Although to help them I did give them a copy of my Veterans card, which I strongly regret. Here I showed up 20 minutes early and tried to check in, but never got to see the doctor, Dr. Kirkland. I didn't leave easily as the eye doctor across the street said I needed to go here for speciality eye surgery, or face blindness. I tryed to explain but they held my appointment hostage over (illegally) asking for, demanding my Social Security number. I left until 45 minutes after my appointment should have started. I tried to get to my appointment for 65 minutes I fought, begged, pleaded and tried to reason with them. They refused me not understanding the VA policy and importance and reason of having a VA number. They said they needed to know I was who I was. So that's why I told them I would show them a copy of my driver's license or VA card, to which they took a copy. This is ridiculous having to fight to be seen, once I drove a full hour to be at my appointment, they chose NOT to see me at all. All over my not giving up my SSN. Exhausted and a headache later tired of wrestling 3 different women over this issue, I said I would pass on my appointment, as it was now already 45 minutes past due my appointment time anyway. So I left. On the way home I called the VA and told them what happened. They agreed, they should have NEVER ASKED for my SSN, saying all they needed for my appointment is my VA number I provided, which Kirkland Eye said they already had that number.

I recently went to Marr-Kirkland Eye Center for a routine eye exam and had such a positive experience. The whole team was so kind and made me feel well cared for. Dr. Kirkland was very knowledgeable, answered all my questions, and was very relational. I felt confident about my vision after the appointment and would recommend Marr-Kirkland Center to anyone!

Amazing doctor! No one else I would trust with my eye care. I was nervous about my procedure but he made me feel comfortable and did an excellent job. I would highly recommend him to anyone looking for an ophthalmologist.
