If I could leave a negative 100 star review I would. After telling me how much I would have to pay I picked the glasses and went to pay was like 30 dollars more but I let it slide looked at receipt and they had added insurance on without even asking and then the real kicker was a month and a half later I get a bill from them saying I owed another 200 dollars because insurance didn't pay as much as they thought. It will be a cold day in h before I give them another dime or recommend them to anyone!

The eye doctor at Sams was fantastic. I don't know what I was expecting but see want to get me the best price and service. When it was clear my Blue Cross Blue Shield of Texas didn't cover the visit because she was out of network, she asked them what doctors locally were in network. I still went with her because it was only $35 extra I had to pay and I didn't want to start all over at another doctor. Very pleasant and thorough, to more time with me than previous doctors. Discussed the slight differences I would see with slightly different prescriptions.

The person who seems to be the head of the department in College Station was very friendly and helpful. However, when I was looking for lenses, I told her that I was planning on getting prescription sunglasses as well as my regular glasses. After my glasses came in, I found out that my glasses came with magnetic clip on sunglasses that are actually kind of cool and not goofy looking. I felt like she should have told me this before I ordered two pairs of glasses because I probably wouldn't have bought two pairs. It just kind of left a bad taste in my mouth. Other than that, I highly recommend them.

No customers service. When I ordered my glasses the Optical person said 2 weeks for glasses to come in. Now at 3 weeks I called to inquire about status of order. The Optical person said the glasses haven't been delivered. I ask if they would call to check on status since its been a week past normal delivery date. The Optical person said they don't call to check on status. She said I would just have to wait until the glasses come in. So my only option is to continue to wait, with NO anticipate delivery date and NO status update. Never using SAM's Optical again!!!!

I highly recommend Sam's Club Optical. Alan and Donna went above and beyond to help me purchase my glasses. They even stayed 20-25 after they closed to make sure my order was completed correctly. They were very helpful and patient and didn't make me feel rushed so they could leave. I really appreciated their willingness to help even though they didn't have to. Plus, their prices are better than a lot of other places. Their customer service was exceptional.
