First year of getting my family's eye exams and frames here was smooth and pleasant. Our second visit was disappointing.
We always review our insurance copay before entering, and the original employee to check us in matched what our insurance told us our out of pocket would be. Exams are done, my husband is able to get his new glasses picked out and pay for his $10 copay+ the warranty for his frames. I get my trial contact lenses on and the associate who took her time with my husband rushed me to pay, and quoted me $60 and some change. I'm dumbfounded and ask her where that price came from, and that I wanted to pick out frames as well, and she says that because I did the contacts fitting/trial pair that I had to pay for that, and that I could either use my frames allowance or a contact lens allowance. I said that's not what I was told by the original associate who confirmed our coverage for us and not what my insurance's coverage is, either. The store was filling up with customers and she was cold and short, speaking to me like I didn't know what I was talking about. I didn't feel welcome and just ended up paying since she decided to die on the hill that she was right and I was wrong.
We checked in with our insurance the next day and were told she was in fact wrong, and they didn't see any attempt to charge our insurance/make the claim for the exam, let alone frames or lens coverage. My husband went back up there asking to speak to a manager about the situation and waited 30 minutes and got no where. We chalked it up to a loss and poor management and training.
This happened in early April of this year. Come August, I get a refund check of $50 for the charge I wasn't supposed to have. My husband and I have chosen to continue with America's Best, just not at this location. West 7th was 10 times busier and far more efficient and kind when time came to get our son's exam and frames done. I hope the girl who couldn't be bothered to double check the information sees this and does better in the future. I don't recommend them, they clearly can't work well under pressure/when questioned/busy store.
i've waited 3 WEEKS for one single pair of glasses which i get the ordering process takes a minute but they LOSE MY GLASSES during the shipping process so they order another pair put a rush order on them .
i get a message that says Tuesday 1/13/2026 my glasses will be ready at 3pm i show up at 3:05pm and they say my glasses will be in tomorrows shipment
fast forward to today
they tell me my glasses aren't in store yet and they'll be in TOMORROWS SHIPMENT i've waited 3 in a half weeks for 1 pair of glasses just to be told 2 times they'll come in tomorrows shipment . this is ridiculous
I can't say enough good things about my visit to America's Best at 6977 Ridgmar Meadow Rd, Fort Worth (next to Five Below) on August 16, 2025. From the happy greeting and and exam by their tech, Josh to my eye exam with Dr. Baza, and on to my eyeglass fitting with Vanessa, I experienced, friendly, professional service with virtually no wait time! The selection of Eyewear was amazing and the pricing VERY affordable, which turned out to be surprisingly even MORE affordable with my Medicare Advantage plan! Isa, the manager of the store was available and engaged in the process of getting my Eyewear ordered correctly and I give him high praise for hiring wonderful people who were pleasant, knowledgeable and quick every step of the way! You've got a great team there, sir! To top it off, my glasses were ready a week earlier than scheduled and picking them up was a breeze! I HIGHLY recommend this location and team especially if you have Medicare Advantage! They do accept other insurance as well. Make an appointment today! Lisa C.

Kevin was pretty helpful and awesome he help me determine which frame works best with my prescription I RECOMMEND YOU ASK TO SPEAK TO KEVIN
I had a car accident that broke my glasses, and I was stuck without any. I still had my lenses, and Kevin at America's Best found a clearance frame they could fit in so I'd have something to wear while waiting on my new ones. I honestly cried because it meant so much.
I had to miss my original appointment because of a work related drug screen requirement due to the wreck, but Kevin was so kind and got me in later that same day. Brenda, Aracely, and Dr. Baza were also amazing. They all made me feel like I truly mattered.
This was my first time at America's Best, and I can confidently say it won't be my last. They truly lived up to their name!
Got single vision glasses and sunglasses, sunglasses were fine. Took glasses back because of defect in lenses, manager was a little bit rude but said he would remake them. Picked them up today and same problem. I do not believe they were remade them. I have 3 pairs of glasses and a pair of sunglasses and these new ones are the only ones that have this problem. I am going to have to go somewhere else and pay out of pocket for new ones. I do not recommend this store.
One of The Best America's Best stores I've had the pleasure of visiting. I've been a client of America's Best in other states. I recently moved to Texas from Georgia. I purchased several pairs of glasses from this location and I am very pleased and impressed with the service, professionalism, and helpfulness of the entire staff! Kevin, the manager, and all of the ladies on staff from the front desk to the examiners and glass adjusters are excellent! They aim to please and are committed to excellent customer service.
After a failed attempt to fix my eyeglasses using a repair kit I came into the store desperate for help. I was greeted warmly and was helped and got my glasses fixed right away. Special thanks to Brenda and Josh for fixing my glasses! I will definitely be coming back for some contacts.
