Dr. Gregory Nettune and his associates at Cornea Associates of Texas did an amazing job of making my cataract surgery a great success! I had a very good experience from the original examination through the post-op care. I can highly recommend. Well done, Cornea team!!
In particular, I would like to highlight the work of Brittany Fajardo. Friendly and very professional! Thank you!
I have psoriatic arthritis affecting my eyes. I had been seen in the ER and my eye doctor's office...both referred me to Dr. Zaffos. I immediately could see why. He knows what he is doing AND has a good personality to go with it. 10/10! Did I mention his office staff are all super nice and efficient as well? Great staff!
Can't express in words alone how grateful I am for Dr Zaffos. After seeing 3 other eye doctors he was the one who finally got my eyes under control! Even the on call weekend person was awesome. My eye started flaring up and I called 6pm on a Friday evening and she was able to help me with what turned out to be simple advice. This is great practice in my opinion and I highly recommend.
Took my wife here today & wish I could give 0000 stars. Dr. Zaffos is NOT a nice person.
1st of all, we come in & the lady at the counter asks for her ID & Medical insurance card. My wife then asks her why she did the portal pre-registration if they were going to ask for it anyway? The lady gave her an attitude & said she can pull it from there then (Don't waste my time asking me to do things ahead of time you aren't going to use, you are NOT paying me for my time, it is the other way around.)
Then Dr. Zaffos comes into the room giving my wife an attitude, rude & short. When he finally leaves the room, my wife shuts the door so she can ask the technician questions since obviously the Dr. isn't going to be helpful....well, then he storms back in & is berating my wife with the door open in front of the staff talking about how my wife was rude to her staff (she only talked to 1 person, the lady @ the counter, wasting her time).
Basically left my wife in tears sitting in the exam room.
5 out of 3 DO NOT RECOMMEND, go somewhere where they value the patient's (you know, the 1 paying the bills) time, opinion & frustration. I don't pay Drs to be mean to me & I definitely don't pay them to have their office staff waste my time, be rude & then make my wife cry while you are sticking up for them wasting my time.
I've seen Dr. Zaffos for years after developing issues related to IOL lens implants done previously at another facility. Dr. Zaffos is very kind and caring, and the staff is phenomenal. I have always been treated with kindness, compassion and professionalism. I wish more doctor's offices could be like this.
The only negative is the wait times. Hence the 4 stars rating. I usually have to wait an hour or more past my appointment time to see the doctor. It can be very frustrating, but I love the office so I just try to be patient and deal with it.
The only thing keeping this review from being 1 star was my experience with the staff - they were great. Very kind and helpful.
But as for Dr. Andrew Bowman, I give him 1 star. He was incredibly crass, no bedside manner at all, made me feel rushed, and lacked professionalism.
I like to ask a lot of questions at appointments because I've had experiences in the past with doctors doing me more harm than good when I've blindly trusted them. It almost felt like my questions to Dr. Andrew Bowman insulted him? He came off upset with a frustrated tone. I decided to get a second opinion elsewhere and had a much better experience.
Cornea associates of Texas staff are courteous, efficient and professional.
Upon arrival you are greeted with a smile and promptly checked in. Optical Technician provides excellent optical exam and is knowledgeable.
Dr. Charles B Bowman listens patiently to your concerns and performs a meticulous visual evaluation in order to provide an accurate solution.
I will definitely recommend Cornea Associates of Texas to my family and friends
Thank you!!!
Dr. Zaffos is wonderful, explains well, personable, & thorough. The staff are hit & miss. Some of the tech would explain what they are doing, some say almost nothing & answer vaguely when I ask.
HOWEVER, the office wait time for an office visit is awful! He is always "behind". In the 5 years we have been going there, we would spend about 2 hours in the office each time, mostly waiting in waiting room & exam room. It is difficult for us since I have to leave my own clinic early to take our son out of school early, then rush to their clinic just to wait in their waiting room.
