Fossil Creek Vision Clinic

On 10/11/2025 I made an appointment for my annual eye exam via Fossil Creek Vision Clinic online website for 10/30/2025. This newer location isn't staffed or operated as detailed as the old Beach location. With Dr. Spivey being the only optometrists the wait can be extreme. Meghan and Jennifer wrongly verified my insurance for the contacts exam. With charging me an out-of-pocket $90 payment and was informed that my contacts will be available within 2 weeks. Verifying with my insurance provider to question why I made an out-of-pocket payment for the amount. The representative informed me that Fossil Creek had the incorrect plan of benefits for me. Calling back to inform Jennifer at Fossil Creek she stated she went by what her office manager, Meghan told her. Informing her that my exam payment and contacts order needed to be changed. She stated she would make the correction upon me sending her what my insurance agent had sent me. After emailing and texting Jennifer the benefit information on on 10/31 and calling her to verify receipt also mentioning if there was any additional concerns to contact me directly. As time and days passed there wasn't any updates on the status of my contacts or refund. Making several calls and speaking with Pearl of my concern along with stressing the importance of receiving my contacts and prescription since they had my payment. Meghan the office manager even told me she had no transcript or conversation by me of my concern request. Jennifer stated she was waiting to process my contacts for benefits detailed information. *Since, 10/30......!?! Guuuurl!! Verifying my conversation and request I resent the email on 11/20/2025 of the conversation and benefits plan to process my contacts. They totally failed to supply my prescription and contacts order. They didn't even put the claim in to my insurance until after I made the complaint with them and my insurance on 11/20/2025. This office is not trustworthy even for the birds to see. NO CLUCKS GIVEN!!

Over 7 weeks since I paid in full for my prescription sunglasses. Amanda is useless. Dr. Spivey is clueless. No communication. And, no Dr. Spivey, your supply chain issues are not because of Covid. It is 2025! Maybe get rid of Amanda and hire someone who can do the job AND care about the patients.

I have an autistic son that Dr. Spivey and his team were fantastic with. It took several appointments to get a full vision exam on him but they were extremely patient and really made my son feel comfortable in their office. We drive 2.5 hours to come to this clinic and its well worth the drive. Highly recommend!

I've been coming to Dr Spivey for years. I've always noticed that the clinic is clean, the employees are quite helpful, and usually I'm in and out with very little wait. He is very upfront with what is going on with your eyes and vision and does not seem to rush you through the process. You feel like family instead of a member of an assembly line. He explains the whole process and why he is doing what he is doing. You can tell that he really does care about you as a patient. I'll keep coming back to Fossil Creek Vision.

I had appt at 2:30, i got there around 2:20, there was one patient picking out frames. At 3:15 i asked how much longer, they said there were two still in the back, and then it would be my turn. I canceled and left. I understand maybe 15 minutes but not 45 to an hour wait.

The absolutely worst run medical facility I have ever visited. Their office hours are NOT patient friendly. They appear to be more concerned with going on vacations and totally closing the office for weeks at a time than they do caring for their patients. Service is slow and wait time to see Dr Spivey is extreme. Optometrist is almost impossible to catch in the office.

Wasn't greatest experience and WON'T be returning. Lady at the counter seemed to be nice until I was speaking with the lady assisting me and told me to move so she could talk to someone else. Amanda was so busy on the phone she couldn't walk 8 feet to inform me of the info I needed. Facility was clean and well maintained. Maybe the some of the staff should see if custom service is the correct career choice. Hope the next customer has a better experience the I did.

The optometrist is very nice and professional the assistant is another story the lady managing the phone is another number My glasses need adjustment but I don't want to go back so I'm just going to use them as expensive readers I can't wear them to drive or daily use but live and learn
