Tran Optometrist

I have been getting my exams here for 2 yrs since my other eye doctor moved her practice out of the DFW area. I have no complaints. Love the retina scan! My prescriptions for eye glasses have been spot on! And she accepts my medicare advantage plan insurance! I have always been treated well by her and the staff.

Do not listen to these 5 star reviews...They may have had semi decent appointments with Dr.Tran but that doesn't excuse how rude and disrespectful she has been, not only to her customers but also her employees as well. I have walked in multiple times and have seen her be unreasonably rude and disrespectful to her employees. It is not right... especially to be acting that way in-front of customers. I don't recommend this doctor at all, she needs to be replaced or learn some manners.

LOOK AT THE REVIEWS ON YELP AND FOR COSTCO OPTICAL. I have reported her to the Texas Board of Optometry, Texas Attorney General, BBB, and Costco since there is pattern of fraudulant billing. My experience with Dr. Tran's office was concerning. I was there for a basic contact lens fitting but was repeatedly and aggressively asked for my medical insurance. Despite my declining and explaining that it wasn't necessary since they had my VISION insurance already, the staff insisted on "just having it on file." I regret giving in. My medical insurance was subsequently billed for imaging services I did not consent to, and the claim was denied. My insurance company is now in a dispute with the office over this fraudulent billing. This has never happened to me in over a decade of visiting optometrists and feels like a scam.

I love Dr. Tran! She is no nonsense, quick and efficient. The front desk staff are never great but, she is wonderful. I have never had to wait long for my appointment and she uses the latest technology. I highly recommend her.

I went in for an exam and explained to her that I would like to try contacts. I struggled a bit, but she guided me through it and I was able to get them in and take them out. When I went to put them in the next day I was very concerned because I realized that I had ripped one. Since I had given Costco my glasses to replace the lenses, I had nothing but the ripped contact. I started to panic and called Dr. Tran. Luckily, she told me I could come and she would give me a new lens. Very grateful for her help!

Been going to Dr Tran for over a decade. She's great, in and out in no time.

For three months, I've had returned three glasses ordered based on my prescription with this Optometrist. Until the employees at Costco told me that I had to go and see her again because it wasn't the frames or anything they helped with (inside store are the sweetest staff) I went to revisit with her in regards to my prescription being inaccurate and so all she did was compare that to my old frames and scribbled out my prescription and sent me on my way. I have now received a second claim for an exam ! She did not provide that service and is attempting to collect twice ! I'm in disbelief that this is happening at Costco ! Please get an exam elsewhere and bring that inside .
