William K. Pope, OD

Dr. Pope is an excellent optometrist. He has a professional attitude and a light hearted manner about him. We have been "seeing" him for more than 10 years. Never an inaccurate prescription pair of eyeglasses. His staff is knowledgeable cheerful and responsive. My prescription was ready in 7 business days even though I was told 10. They fit and work well.

No problems for years until this afternoon. A "courtesy call" from Emily at front desk alerting me that my annual is due. But it's not due for over 2 months. My family has been preparing our very sick 17 year old dog to be put down. I was in the middle of giving him his very last bath when my phone rang. Even though I made clear that I was extremely too busy for any "courtesy call", one minute after hanging up Dr. POPE CALLED! Turns out contacting my husband or his employer would have been best. After several minutes on the phone with him raising his voice and talking over me, I discerned that he was upset I'd not returned a call from him..."10 DAYS AGO!", he said. He, or better yet his staff, should have contacted my husband's employer.."TEN DAYS AGO!" Regardless, after Emily did tell the doctor that I was extremely busy and upset, he chose to ignore this and interrupt me again within minutes. Take care Dr. Pope. It was nice knowing you.

So not only do I love Dr Pope, but his whole office is friendly, professional, and awesome. They will always go the extra mile for you. Dr Pope works so hard to get my tricky prescription just right. I know it has to be annoying with all my special issues, but he is as patient and kind as can be.
