Trinity Vision - Dr. Helen Orth

My Husband had his first appointment in March 2021 with Dr. Helen Orth. Since then, she help my husband where others eye doctor can't.

My family has been going to Dr. Orth since before she opened her new office in Hurst. Dr. Orth has always explained in detail what was going on with my eyes. When she has suggested a different strength or brand of contact, I have always been given trial pairs to try out first. Dr. Orth and her staff have always been professional and have worked with me and my insurance. I believe I have been charged a fair price for each and every visit. I have also never been kept waiting long for my appointment.

The Dr and staff are wonderful. I have been getting my eyes checked by Dr. Helen Orth for over 10 years. She is really thorough, professional, and will answer any questions and make you feel comfortable throughout the exam. She is personable and your eyes health is definitely her concern.

The rude main receptionist stopped me before I even finished checking in with them, stating that (paraphrasing) their fee went up, so if I didn't want to continue I can cancel, which was never told to me until I got to the office. They then demanded my medical insurance card as well as my vision insurance card, I noticed a charge on both. They have no need to have a medical insurance card. They then told me how much the contact lenses would be, and it was 2-3 times what they should be. They overcharge and are incredibly rude. The doctor at least seemed nice and sounded like she knew what she was talking about.

My wife and I have been going to Dr. Orth for years. She is absolutely top notch. Takes her time with you. Very professional and caring. She diagnosed and caught a retinal detachment. Without her I would have been blind within a week. For such a top quality professional, she is not.expensive - like some other places.I have.been

Poor service. The doctor is very nice but the front desk is awful. She treatment planned my frames and on the paper worked up one price and when I went to check out, it was $200 more and they couldn't get me an itemized receipt because they couldn't get into the care credit so I had to leave my info. That was strike one. I showed up for dilation appointment and they dilated my eyes before trying in my new glasses so I left with glasses I had to adjust myself since they were not straight, I'm not certain the prescription in the right eye is correct either. I was supposed to get a pair of prescription sunglasses which I had to tell them they didn't give me because they were clueless. Two weeks later and they still haven't updated me on the status of these yet. Strike 2. Also, when I showed up for visit 2 I asked on my way in for an itemized receipt and was told she would get it for me. On my way out, I had to ask for it again and she only printed the visit for that day. I had to ask for the receipt for my first visit, again. There is no way to contact them other than phone. I called today to follow up about the missing sunglasses ordered 6 weeks ago and was told they are on back order, they have no idea when they'll be getting them. I said it's been 6 weeks already and with that she said I completely understand and that they will call me, with a attitude of course. I'm done with this place.

I have never been to a cleaner place the staff is super friendly. Dr. Orth is not only the best eye doctor I've ever been to! Very knowledgeable she helps you learn more about what's going on with your eyes and how to take care of them. She is absolutely the best

This was the first eye exam that was done with natural lighting. When I was finally able to pick up my trial pair of contacts, I wore them for about a week and told them I couldn't see the letters on my computer clearly. Now, it did take me some months to pick up my contacts because I travel for work. When I let them know about the issue with my contacts, they wanted my primary insurance information and stated I needed a new exam because my eyesight could have changed in 4 months. Why is that? We are told to go yearly, and I have never heard of someone's eyesight changing that drastically in 4 months. Not to mention, I can see the lettering on my monitors just fine with the glasses that I have had for two years. I did purchase the contacts, but I'm not sure I'll ever use them. I'll wait until the beginning of the year when my benefits start over and get a new exam from another place. This time I won't choose the place based on convenience. Also, it's funny with every other call, they left a voicemail to tell me my trial contacts were in and left reminder voicemails when they would call. I called today to see if my contacts were in, and they have been there since November 10th. I received no call and no voicemail.
