Longview Ophthalmology Associates

I'm always nervous about my injections, but today my technician Miss Kate was very plesent and understanding. I appreciate all of there care team. Dr Walgama is also very caring and wants the best for his patients.

I recently visited Longview Ophthalmology Associates for an eye exam, and while the doctor was professional, my experience with the office manager was disappointing. The biggest issue was unexpected charges. I was quoted one price during the first visit but ended up paying significantly more when I arrived for a follow up that they stated was included with the first. When I asked for an explanation, the office manager was dismissive and unhelpful. It felt like they were more interested in extra charges than providing clear and honest pricing. Billing transparency is crucial, especially for medical services, and this office needs to do better. I would recommend double-checking all costs before agreeing to any services. Unfortunately, due to this experience, I won't be returning.

The VA sent me here and after my visit, I wouldn't send my big toe to this place. Dr. Walgama did not do anything. The staff was okay but he was awful. He was in and out in 5 minutes, dilated my eyes I couldn't even see when I left. Thank God I had some shades in my vehicle. Also they will charge you a $35 dollar fee and say the insurance won't cover it. I didn't pay because the VA sent me there. I called the VA as soon as the appointment was over and changed doctors.

The two stars is for Dr. Guillory who did a nice job checking my eye and making sure that my shingles did not affect my cornea. Zero stars to the woman at the checkout. I distinctly heard him tell her to charge me only 47.00. I was charged 147.00 I was told that the $100.00 was a new patient fee. I felt this was unfair because I was not, nor ever will be a patient there. I just went because Longview Ophthalmology Associates was the only place near me that had an available Dr. to check my eye to see if shingles had hurt my cornea. He did not spend 10 minutes with me. I think it's hypocritical of Dr.'s offices to have signs informing the patients that they are expected to pay for services rendered, then charge them for services that aren't rendered. Nothing against Guillory, he's a good ophthalmologist, but I never go back to Dr's offices that rip me off.

Dr. Walgama is the only doctor who has actually listened when told about a severe anxiety disorder rather than dismissing it as nothing to worry about. His understanding and willingness to take special steps to accommodate for that is practically unheard of for us.

Got to my appt. 10 min early they called me right on in the back,and thats when the games began. They gave me the new girl or someone who did not know what she was doing (reading the manual as she examined me) long story short why did my eye exam take almost 3 hours. NOT COOL

Don't even bother calling.

Don't use Dr. Walgama unless you want no answers.He told me on last visit after I asked a question .He said maybe you need a second opinion and I said fine I will .I saw new doctor got answers because he would not answer or take time and also said to me maybe because of your anxiety you should get a second opinion but what I realized was his nog MD and should have never said that to after a five visit.
