I don't understand all these negative reviews. I am not one to write a Google review about my experience at places, but this was an extremely positive experience for me. I was the first customer of the day; I came in at 9:15. I was greeted as soon as I walked in the door and the two women working were amazing. It was Benita and another lady with short hair working (I am sorry, I forgot her name). Huge shoutout to Miss Benita in particular. She was incredible. I have a fear of the eye doctor and she was so gentle and patient with me. We discussed being in college and life in general and she was so kind throughout the entire experience. She even helped me to pick out my glasses and pulled glasses from the back and gave me recommendations based on what I told her I like and what she thought would look good on me. I got 2 pairs and an eye exam for $79 and added on polycarbonate for an extra $50. They were very transparent about pricing and Benita even explained to me what the numbers on my prescription meant. I am very grateful I made it to Stanton Optical and I only wish them the best.

We went in with an appointment, my wife got in at around 11:30 (her appointment was at 10:15) because they were having internet problems ok we waited, the seating was terrible; hard metal benches to sit on. I was after her ; mind you I'm handicapped & can't open my right eye due to paralysis; the lady who took me back was rude, she didn't hardly speak to me and kept asking about my right eye. They couldn't do anything for it , I'm seeing multiple neurologist for my condition. I am very sensitive to bright light in both. She proceeded to tell me to put my chin on the instruments while not telling what they do, the third one was to bright at the end and couldn't do it. The other lady came over and they both told me that the doctor (who is on a tv screen, virtually) would not see me without those test. I have had eye exams in the past without those instruments being used but there again an actual human was examining me. My wife had a much better experience, she said the lady explained everything to her before doing it. I feel as though I was treated terribly and I don't want to say but possibly discriminated against. I will never go back!!! I wasn't going to post this but thought it would help someone else out. If you are treating someone you need to be able to be personable and look at the person and speak to them them pleasantly. I'm still shocked by this.

Appointment at 12:15...... all I did was medical history, after almost an hour. 20 minutes later the pre exam.... Waited another 20 minutes, was told Dr was doing an exam and I would be next. They called in a different patient...... another lady in the waiting room had the same appointment time and a dad with two kids had been there since 10:45. Would give 0 star if I could this place sucks.

1 Star - Absolutely Unacceptable Experience Spent nearly $1,000 on two pairs of glasses less than six months ago, and the entire experience with Stanton Optical has been a nightmare from start to finish. First, it took a month and a half to even get the glasses. Why? Because every single time we went to pick them up, they were wrong. We had to go back FOUR TIMES because they couldn't get the order right. We paid extra for scratch-resistant coating and extra for a warranty--because we were told it would protect us. Fast forward to needing them fixed, and suddenly we're told it'll cost another $163 because the warranty "only covers 80%." That 80% detail? Never mentioned. Not once. Funny how that part didn't come up when they were happily upselling all the add-ons. So let me get this straight: * Took forever to receive * Ordered wrong multiple times * Paid top dollar for "protection" * And now we're expected to pay again less than 6 months later This feels misleading at best and straight-up dishonest at worst. If you're considering Stanton Optical, read every word of the fine print and don't assume the warranty actually has your back--because ours sure didn't. Save yourself the frustration and go somewhere else.

Alyssa is amazing and sweet and really helpful with any questions I had . Very helpful with finding my.contact color as well by listening to descriptions of colors i was interested in . I saw an actual person as well for my eye exam. Maybe I lucked out with that one seeing as the majority of the time it is a virtual doctor . I havnt had a wrong prescription for my eyes yet and have been here 3 times already .

Honestly the entire experience has been horrible. We made an appointment at 9am, had to wait until 9:30 to even check in for our appointment. During this time there was one girl struggling to get everything set up and two up front just talking. Come to find out that one of the two chit chatting was a manager from the Tyler store who was more than capable to assisting her colleague in starting the morning. My husband was called back around 10 to do the first part of the exam, I was called back at 10:15. Then my husband was called back to do the rest of the exam which was done with an e-doctor?! If we had known we were seeing virtual doctors, we wouldn't have made the appointment. I proceeded to wait there with our toddler for another hour before the manager was finally like "we'll do hers manually" and called me back for the second half of my appointment. We had to do this because the virtual doctors kept skipping over me and the only way to communicate with them was to submit a ticket. Picked out my glasses and paid, was told that my glasses would be done within the next hour. And it's a good thing we didn't wait for them, because I didn't get a text until 8pm that my glasses were done. Came in the following week to pick up my prescription which took at least half an hour to do because the manager was training a girl who had been there when we were doing our appointments and apparently wasn't trained when she was hired. Took my husband today to pick up his contacts and was told that we had to wait because there were people in front of us picking out their glasses....the people were still browsing the glasses selections so the employee couldn't just hand my husband his box(es) of contacts. The store is a mess. Employees are not trained and are obviously apathetic. There is no form of organization in daily operations. We will not be coming again just for poor service and virtual care.

I scheduled an appointment online for 11:45 am. Got there 15 minutes early. Waited until noon and told the attendant I was leaving and asked her what is the point of making an appointment if walk ins can just come in and be seen before those that made appointments. She told me she would be happy to still get me in but had to take care of the others first. Great, but why set appointments?
