I would have given a 5 star review but we made our appointments a week ahead of time and still had to wait 40 minutes before seeing Dr. Brueggmann. Our examinations were very thorough and Dr. Brueggmann discussed with us the current health of our eyes as well as the changes in our prescriptions. Dr. Brueggmann is very personable and we will likely continue to see him for our future eye exams. Everyone at the Jolly Good Eye Care was courteous.
First visit to Jolly Eye Care, but won't be my last. Everyone that I dealt with was friendly, knowledgeable, and professional. They all did an excellent job of putting me at ease and answering my questions. I highly recommend this to group.
I had a wonderful experience here! Dr. Lindsay was so kind, gentle and knowledgeable. My exam was quick and she was super thorough with all of her commentary and answers to my many questions. I had people making sure I was comfortable and asking if I had any questions throughout my whole appointment. Great visit!
I liked Dr. Brueggann. He was helpful, kind, and seemed to really like his job. I felt comfortable enough to ask dumb questions like, "how do people see?" And "why can't I wear my contacts for twice as long as the manufacturer recommends." - It was clear to me that he liked being asked dumb questions. He liked talking about eyes. He really cares about it. He's a good hang, go see em.
The front desk/preliminary examiner and then the Dr. and his waiting staff (the dog) were very cordial, kind, and knowledgeable. I felt uneasy at first because of visual concern l, but they collectively put me at ease.
I would rate this lower if possible. The front desk staff consistently demonstrated a lack of professionalism across multiple visits. My initial walk-in experience involved waiting nearly three hours without but yet the lobby was empty for an hour only two appointments and I would be like OK am I gonna go now? Nope just kept waiting with nobody in front so they could've seen me. At a follow-up appointment, despite having previously provided my information, I was delayed again due to staff miscommunication and poor record-keeping to just check my insurance , which was already on file--they located it after a 40-minute delay.
Next visit I was supposed to go for a check up and for a prescription but then after the checkout they said, did you want to do your prescription renewal appointment and I said that's what I was here for too then they were like oh we have to see about your insurance again, which I already told them the month and time I had my last Follow up for my eyes. Then a rude employee came back to get me and wanted me to wait in the lobby again in the lobby was super full . When I asked, "What am I even doing here?" after being made to wait again for a checkup I had scheduled, one staff member responded with a snarky, "Because you were here for a checkup," which only reinforced the dismissive attitude I experienced throughout. I also observed a noticeable difference in how female patients were treated compared to male patients, which was disappointing.
I do not recommend this clinic based on my experience, particularly regarding professionalism and excessive wait times. Proceed with caution. I will not return.
I'd rate this lower if I could, I have been getting eye exams annually since I was 4 and this is the only place I've ever been in that's made me feel uncomfortable. I have NEVER had to get multiple puffs of air in my eyes for the pressure test EVER in 33 years of going to eye doctors. I got 3 puffs in each eye and was told I was the problem today because I was holding my breath? I was also told it would be $165 today for just the exam even though I was actively logged into my insurance account, made sure they were in-network prior to scheduling and could see that my copay was $10 for the glasses exam, $0 for the contact lens exam and up to $40 for retinal screening. They made a big show of "calling" my insurance to verify everything, handing me a print out outlining the cost and then I was told I was wrong about my insurance benefits, it would be $165 for just the exam and it would probably be another $300 to order contacts next door. I have never paid that much for an eye exam/ glasses/contacts. I canceled my appointment right there and left. I went over to America's Best (who is preferred out of network with my insurance). I got a glasses and contacts exam AND ordered 6 months worth of contacts for $170.
Best eye care clinic that I've been to. Great receptionist, very polite and welcoming. Awesome Doctors. They take time to listen to you and are very knowledgeable about your vision. Also very easy to talk to and have a few laughs . Thanks again
