Texas State Optical New Braunfels

Great experience today. Not only is the team helpful and knowledgeable, they are also very considerate of my time. I arrived 30 min early today and they immediately took me back and completed my appt early! The physician was thorough and very efficient.

The Dr I saw was great! And unfortunately for her that's the only thing that's been great here. I did my exam and then went to get glasses. Told the lady the price I wanted to stay within and that wasn't respected with every option she gave me. Then I was told my glasses would be ready in 5-7 days. Called to check in on day 7 since I hadn't heard anything and the lady on the phone just said no you're wrong it's 7-10 business days. Normally wouldn't have been an issue people mishear things all the time but the attitude over the phone is wild. I was also given some trial contact and was having issues with them. So I called to check if there were another pair I could try and at first reception tries to tell me that's just how contacts are and was reluctant to even communicate with the provider. She finally did and the provider gave me different contacts to try and those ones are perfect. But again I have no issues of complaints about the dr. I called in around day 7 of the 7-10 business day and was told my glasses still weren't ready and were delayed from the ice storm we had. No problem I understand that. But now it's almost been an entire moth since my appointment. No one at the office called me just to let me know it may be delayed nothing and I still don't have glasses. Totally recommend the dr. But go literally anywhere else for the glasses and contacts.

Dr. Sabol is amazing and very thorough in her exam and explains options for my continued eye care. Staff is so nice and always welcoming and the new office is clean and beautiful. I'm very happy with my care here and highly recommend them for your eye care needs.

Even if you complete all the paperwork online beforehand, they still require a physical ID scan at the desk -- not a major issue, but something to be aware of if you're expecting a contactless check-in. One minor drawback is the condition of the waiting room chairs. The cloth seats do have noticeable stains, which can make finding a clean and comfortable place to sit a little challenging. While the overall cleanliness of the facility is good, this detail stands out and could be improved. On the positive side, appointment times are respected. I was seen promptly, and the staff performed a thorough and detailed exam. They clearly take their time to review test results and ensure you're seeing as clearly as possible before you leave. It's this professionalism and attention to detail that makes them stand out. There's plenty of available parking, which is always a plus, and a typical visit takes about 30 minutes from start to finish, making it easy to fit into a busy schedule. My entire family now uses Texas State Optical, and I would absolutely recommend them for anyone looking for dependable, comprehensive eye care. TSO does a great job handling patients eye care needs. Dr Sabol is fantastic, she spends the time needed with you to answer all your questions and concerns as well as treatment options. The staff are always very friendly and make is so easy to make appointments and answer questions. I will always use TSO for my eye care needs.

TSO took me in on short notice. Everyone was very kind and the doctor was extremely knowledgeable, beyond competent and made feel at ease. I highly recommend TSO in New Braunfels.

I'm so happy! I had an eye exam here & purchased a beautiful pair of eyeglasses with the new prescription & my glasses are perfect. I returned to the store with two pair of my gently used eyeglasses that they also refitted with my new persrciption. I now have an extra pair of prescription glasses & a pair of prescription reading-glasses. I liked this TSO location so much I brought my mother in for her eye exam & afterwards purchased 2 pairs of prescription eyeglasses & frames for her too. The New Braunfels location is great & has very friendly, helpful, professional staff. The store itself is new, lovely & clean. There is a fantastic selection of eyeglass frames which includes name-brand & luxury-brand frames. I initially came to this store while searching for a new optometrist after mine retired. I tried an opthamologist for a couple of years but was left feeling unsatisfied with the rushed, disinterested service & long waits during appointments, which only resulted in a pair of new prescription glasses that were unsatisfactory (I could see better with my old prescription glasses). Thank goodness I found the TSO in New Braunfels!

The optometrist was super sweet and very knowledgeable. The staff is so patient, kind and very helpful and that goes a long way! Definitely my new eye doctor. Great selection as well!!
