America's Best Contacts & Eyeglasses

I normally go to a regular eye doctor, but since I don't have eye insurance right now, I was looking for a good value. I found America's Best because they offered an eye exam with contacts for only $119, and I was honestly pleasantly surprised by the entire experience. There was little to no waiting, and everyone in the office was professional, knowledgeable, and clearly experienced at what they do. I worked with Nicole for my glasses and contacts, and she was absolutely wonderful. She was patient, helpful, and made the whole process easy. I'll definitely continue being a customer here and would recommend America's Best to anyone looking for quality eye care at a great price.

We went to the location America Best at the Rim in San Antonio. I have been going through Americas best for a few years and I took my older son for glasses. The manager Marissa went above and beyond explaining in details on the best fit and why. She explained how and why we order transitions and the benefit with them and how it protects from blue light, uv and how certain glasses would be more helpful for my son's eyes to flourish. I wish she would have helped me with my glasses but I am thankful that my son got the best care. My husband and me were very impressed with her customer service. It was a good experience and I hope she will be there the next time we need glasses so we can get that kind of service and knowledge on glasses. We do now have good information moving forward for our own service. Great employee America Best definitely will be looking for her on our next visit!

Took my 8 year old daughter here for her first eye exam and they were wonderful with her! From the very start, Hailey made her feel comfortable and was so friendly and caring. Our visit was all around a good experience, making it fun and exciting for my nervous kid to get her first set of glasses. They even found a piece of jewelry she lost and Jake called to let us know they would hold it until we could return. Everyone we met from start to finish was excellent and I would highly recommend this location for adults and children.

Heads up: This is a long review of me going on about the positive experience I had at this location, it is not short and sweet! I had such an amazing experience here, despite the trials that can come with buying glasses. I went here for the Eye Exam + 2 Pair of Glasses deal and was met with the kindest, most helpful staff and eye-doctor! Nacole broke down the pricing of things on my first visit here and helped me to gauge which add-ons would work best with my vision needs and budget. When my first pair of glasses were ready, picking them up was a breeze, and Jake- a manager- was more than willing to extend my trial period with them as I waited for my second pair to arrive. He answered all of my questions in the process and told me not to hesitate to come back if my glasses gave me any trouble... ...well they did! So I ended up back in their office because it felt like my new glasses were straining my left eye, despite my prescription being weaker, not stronger. The staff got me seen SAME DAY and my doctor was very thorough in my re-evaluation! We found out that the Pupillary Distance on my glasses was different than the actual one for my eyes, which can cause straining. The staff apologized for the inconvenience, re-ordered my glasses with the correction, and gave me free anti-glare protection as an additional apology. Marissa, the top manager, was so kind, understanding, reassuring, and communicative! I canNOT stress enough how pleasantly surprised and relieved I was throughout this entire process. This office is so attentive and filled with staff that have great customer-service skills. If you have a question or concern, don't hesitate to ask! They will work with you to reach a solution. Thank you to all the staff at this location! I'm so happy I took a chance on America's Best :-)

This is the third time I have been at America's Best (AB) and once again I was extremely happy with all levels of their service, right from the front desk assistant to the Optometrist to the rest of the staff. They were all very accommodating and friendly. If nothing changes with AB, I can say that I will always come back to AB for my optometry needs. They get a 10 out of 10 from me.

Y'all, when I tell y'all this is the place you wanna go to for your eye care. I mean it! Marissa was such a blast to work with she's very patient and understanding. Cody was great to and explained everything the machines do in detail. I have been coming here for about 4 years even though I live about 30 minutes away just for the great service I get every time.

The customer service is terrible! The two ladies in the front desk were rude and not helpful at all. They wanted us to call and find out our coverage and usually they do it everywhere else I've gone. Do not recommend!

Very disappointed with these people. Went for the 2 pair of glasses special for $199. Eye exam was very good. Waited 3 weeks for the glasses. Went and tried them on and couldn't see anything useful. Blurry all around the edges except for a small central viewing area. Was asked if I ever wore progressives by staff...have had them for 30 years. Then was told..oh because of the 2 for special they only came with these useless narrow view lenses and if I wanted wider view progressives it would be $50 more per pair. NOTHING was ever mentioned about this during our initial meeting there. Requested our money back and will never go back there again.
