Staff was friendly and knowledgeable. Great selection of frames. Made the whole process very smooth. Prices are very fair. Does get a little busy during the day. If you're getting an eye exam it's probably better to schedule an appointment as opposed to just walking in, but they do accept walk-ins

Dr. Emerson Is very thorough and understanding on what's really going on with your eyes she's really wonderful and the assistant miss Shari Was great she Fix My glasses for me I love coming to America's best they are wonderful. I do recommend if you're needing to get your eyes checked to come to America and also they always have deals that are going on that are affordable.

The location on Walzem Rd (5007 Parkcrest, Sa Tx, 78218)is very un organized and was very inconvenient for me and my kids. I set an appointment for my 10 year old daughter I provided my daughter insurance name and member I'd number at the time I set up the appointment with a a receptionist. The day of the appointment when I took my daughter in I was told they do not take my daughter insurance smh I immediately advised the person up front that should have been told to me when I set the appointment and they should of ran the insurance and advised me up front that that they did not take my daughter insurance not wait the day of when I take my daughter in to tell me that. Then going to have the nerve to ask me do I still want to keep the appointment after they then messed up no ma'am. I immediately advised why would I keep the appointment and pay out of pocket when my daughter have insurance make that make sense. They need to hire more people that know what they are doing and not just answering the phones taking the appointments and not advising people if they do or don't take the insurance. I wasted my gas going way to this location just to be told that I will never come to this location ever again for me or anyone else in my family.i will rate this place a 0. I took my daughter down the street to another eye exam place and they ran her insurance right then and there like they were suppose too and then set up her appointment.

This placevadvertised 2 our of glasses fir $79.99, whicj includes a free exam. Here's the scoop. 1. The $79.99 price is for single lenses only, not bifocal. 2. The $79.99 price is before taxes. 3. The frames offered are a very limited. They have wide variety of frames that are an upcharge. 4. Transiton lenses that get darker in the sun are an upcharge. 5. Tinted (slight coloring) lenses are an upcharge. There are a about 5 color choices. 6. The exam is free. 7. Two pair of bifocal glasses are a minimum $179.99. 8. The Ophthalmologist is a contracted person. They usually work for a private practice most of the time and spend a few hours a week at America's Best. 9. The optometrists do a thorough job of measuring fir the transition point on bifocal, knowing what frames are suitable for the size of bifocal lenses, and making sure frames fit you properly. The bifocal lenses are larger than single frames by a tad. Not all frames are large enough to accommodate bifocal lenses. 10. I am not sure if you will get the same Opthomalogist if you ever get a newer pair of glasses several years later. You might also want to find out where the Opthomalogist has h8s practice in case you want yearly exams from him. You likely won't need new glasses yearly. This meas you'll pay for future exams. When you do need new glasses, you can use America's Best again to get a free exam and 2 pair of glasses again.

Don't come to this address they're messy. When I came for the exam I talked to the associate and we were supposed to get two glasses to get the promotion for the free exam. I paid 212 dollars and I come to pickup my glasses and they tell me only one pair was ordered which was not what was planned with the associate. The people here are new they're messy they don't know what they're doing and they tell you one thing and do another. I've never had any issues until I came to this location DONT COME HERE.The prescription they gave me was wrong and they want to charge me for the exam and the pair of glasses again. This is definitely NOT americas best go somewhere else

i took my son to replace a pair of warranty covered glasses an to help fix the second pair cause the lens popped out. Only for the older guy with glasses to bend the arm of the frame while putting the lens back in Damn near breaking it completely and hand it back as if it was already broken. I was in such disbelief, I had no words or understanding on why he would do something like that. Im pissed that I didn't say anything when I noticed it happened.I will be finding a new location because this isn't the first problem I've had at this store.

From the beginning it was a great experience from the receptionist to I believe Monica (lady who did my first exam , back left room) to Dr. Emerson who was great in explaining to me the results and helping me navigate this new experience with gentleness & kindness. Not to mention Idalia who was extremely patient with me as she taught me a better way of putting in my contacts, she went above and beyond with even helping me with frames and explaining every detail of the lens process that would help me best ! WOW! I am very grateful to have made my appointment at this location. I will continue to choose to get all my future follow ups here as my vision is important to me. Frames are falling apart. Lens do not fit in frame properly. A very poor pair of glasses for $200. Associate at the front desk is no help at all. These are pictures of them. If this is America's best I hate to see mediocre or worst pair.
