Beverly Kotara Wiatrek OD

Dr Wiatrek is absolutely the best eye doctor I've ever seen, pun intended. She is thorough, professional and so knowledgeable. Her patient skills are outstanding -

Unless you're a conservative republican, this is probably not the eye doctor for you. Not only are her political affiliations littered all over the walls with various slogans printed out using Microsoft word, endorsements for politicians, and religious items, during my appointment several comments were made about immigrants being dangerous criminals and it made me really uncomfortable. I still wasn't going to say anything in a review until she also decided to use my personal email from paperwork I was required to fill out to reach out and try to persuade how I vote in the current local elections. In this email she advises against supporting "woke projects" referring specifically to housing assistance and reproductive justice. Incredibly unprofessional if you ask me. I went there to get my eyes checked, not have someone's political beliefs thrown up on me. Unbelievable.

Dr. Beverly and Sherry are wonderful! Dr. Beverly knows allot and helps to educate her patients about their needs. I'm very glad I'm one of her patients.

Best optometrist around. My family had been going there for YEARS!! Dr. Wiatrek is very thorough and makes sure you are seeing perfect when you walk out the door.

Just wanted to share the awesome experience my father and I had with Dr. Wiatrek and the friendly receptionist Karry. Karry went out of her way to assist myself to see if my insurance would cover and also printed out a list of in network providers. And my father was very pleased with the staff and Dr. Wiatrek. She had excellent rapport with her patients and was very informative. We would definitely recommend Dr. Wiatrek and her friendly staff to anyone. (side note: Had to use my daughter's account to post this review) :)

She was very patient and just all around great. For the first time trying contacts in 21 years of wearing glasses she was great at recommendations and despite having to change my left contact 4 times she finally found what I needed.

I walked in to see about becoming a new patient and the older lady at the front desk cut me off every time I'm trying to talk. This is how it went: Me: Hello, I'd like to see about becoming a new pati- Lady: -We don't take walk-ins! Me: that's fine, I just wanted to see if I could make an appointm- Lady: -what insurance do you have? Me: I have - Lady: - we don't take premiere! Me: no I have VSP... Lady: oh we take that. Let me look something up. I gave it two stars because the young lady behind her found an appointment date for me and was actually nice! She let me know I can't be seen until during the week. I said nevermind because at that point I didn't ever want to deal with the older lady again.
