Dr. Hyun Joo Chung, OD & Associates

My children have been patients for 4+years. My teenage daughter used up her 12 month supply of contacts early and also lost her glasses and only has back up eyeglasses which prescription is very outdated (2 yrs old) I explained to the office that my daughter has nothing to correct her vision and is playing varsity sports. I asked if there was anything they could do to help us, a courtesy pair of contacts to carry her through to her appointment since it was well over a week away. I even offered to buy them. They asked Dr. Chung and she said no that my daughter would just have to wait it out until her appointment. No sympathy for our long time business or my child. Needless to say we have taken our business elsewhere. I would not recommend this Optometrist to my friends or family.

I love Dr. Chung! She has cared for my eyes for the past four years. She is always thorough and will be honest with you about your eyes. If you abuse contact lenses (overwearing them) she will make you wear glasses before she allows you to wear contacts. I was always in and out in around 30 minutes!

First let me start off by mentioning that I called several Visionworks locations and everyone stated I needed an appointment and that they were booked for the day. Feeling pretty frustrated I called this location around 12:50pm and asked if they took walk-ins or if I needed an appointment and the receptionist stated I needed an appointment. Then she said I can make you an appointment for 1:30pm and I asked is that for next Saturday and she said no ma'am today. I was very pleased to hear that and explained my frustration with 4 other Visionworks locations and how rude and unaccommidating they were. The service I received was fast and Dr Chung was very nice and thorough. I use to see another eye doctor downtown and they have never explained to me why my eyes are always red or that I have very dry eyes. Dr Chung gave me information on what eye drops to start using that would give me fast relief and also provided me with a coupon. Dr Chung then gave me my prescription for eye glasses and I went next door and purchased my glasses. I definitely will be going back to see her and her staff for future eye exams.

Please DO NOT go here if you need a contact lenses prescription. I had an appointment at 12 pm got there 10 minutes before, but didn't get seen by the doctor until 1:15 pm that is because she was doing eye exams for walk ins that came in after me who only needed a glasses prescription. After my eye exam, which I felt was rushed since the doctor seemed annoyed already, I thought they were going to give me the contact lenses prescription but it turns out they don't give you the prescription until after you have tried your trial contacts which take a month to arrive! Now if those trial contacts don't work for you then you'll have to wait another 30 days for another trial contacts to arrive! They don't tell you this before you pay. Please don't waste your time/money just please go somewhere else.

Great experience! Dr Chung performed the most thorough exam that I have ever had. Very knowledgeable and courteous!

Really difficult to work with. Went there because offered Sat appts and paid cash but not willing to schedule follow up on Sat. Rude office staff

Very rude and very money hungry will never get my money again.... saw how nice she was with another customer but seemed very annoyed and rushed with us smh

Dr.Hyun joo Chung is amazing! I won't go anywhere else again!!!
