Dr. Oday J. Alsheikh, MD

I've gone to Dr. Alsheik for many years . I stayed with him because he did my cataract surgery and became accustom to waiting. I felt bad but got kind of used to be treating so unproffesionally. I always had to wait a couple of hrs. and on my last visit waited 3 hrs. The receptionist informed me the earlier the appt. the shorter time you should have to wait. My appt. Was at 10:30. I am 74 yrs old and cant do it anymore. I dont think he would want anyone to treat his family like that. I wasn't going to complain but it might save someone else the agony. There are plenty of reputable 5 star physicians that wont take all day that don't put their patients through that. This came back to mind because I got a bill for test that I took but didn't get results. Thankfully the business office understood and took care of it.

Dr Alsheikh saw me during the holidays when most doctors are out on vacation. Saw me on Christmas Eve and New Years Eve. He treated me for a corneal laceration which was in bad shape. I was very pleased with his concerns and ability to treat me. His staff was wonderful as well. I recommend him and his staff very highly. Thank you.

Had right eye cataract surgery and developed Uveitis! My eye has not regain its full effect after the surgery. Dr. Al sheik kept pushing for additional treatment when my eye was not normal like it was prior to the surgery! I might be an odd man out but I can't recommend this doctor because of this experience.

The Dr n staff are amazing!!! I have a horrible cornea ulcer and was seeing another Dr whose wait was more than 4-5 hours, his staff was rude ,he didn't know what to do with my eye?I was in excruciating pain like a knife was in my eye,I searched and found dr Al Shiekh and literally cried and begged him to help me..I was in so much pain and couldn't see and he said I'll have you out of pain in 2 days! Sure enough he did, my eye was so bad!! Now it's almost healed up.He's an amazing dr. Dr Al Shiekh and his staff have taken great care of me I'm very appreciative to have found them!

I am in the medical field and never have I seen an office so uninterested in the patient. I am sure Dr Alsheik is a well qualified glaucoma specialist but, after I was asked to change all of the 4 appointments that had been made months ago only a day or 2 before each because "the doctor will not be in that day" I called it quits. All of my appointments were made telling me the need to have them a certain amount of time apart. I took time off from work to make these scheduled appointments and then in one case, 24 hrs before they call me to come in the next day instead. I was working. I have expressed my dissatisfaction to the office manager, schedulers, phone callers and even the Doctor. Everyone was very sorry. Well sorry does not make up for the aggravation and time lost on my part. I would never recommend this practice. Nor will I ever go back in spite of it's proximity to me. There may be some very Very good practitioners in this office but the disorganization overwhelms that fact. I was told it was all because a Dr who was hired to help became very sick. I was NOT their patient. And now I am not Dr Alsheik's patient either.

I saw him 2 days ago & he gave me 3 samples that were to be 4X a day & last 7 days.They didn't even last 2 1/2 days. I told them to open a sample themselves in front of me & show me that there are more that 3 - 4 drops because 3rd sample didn't even let me get 2 drops in each eye. I had even asked for old prescription so I could get drops asap since I did not have drops this morning/last night. He told nurse he wasn't giving me any more samples, won't be writing me a prescription nor waste sample to find out that's there's not enough drops even for 1 day. So he basically called me a liar & told nurse I could wait for appt. in 2wks or find another dr. He is arrogant, full of himself & does NOT CARE about well-being of patients. It's his ego trip. I've been going to Dr. Braverman's for years as my parents did. My mom had a bad experience and left recently too. Unfortunately, when they lost Dr. Braverman they also lost their integrity & professionalism w/him. I've never been so disappointed in a dr. No, I won't be going back to see him.

Dr. Oday Alsheikh is an excellent ophthalmologist and highly skilled in practice and I highly recommend him, he performed surgery in my right and left eye for cataracts and glaucoma and I'm doing well. The staff is also over the top.

Cataract removal operations appear to have been effective. The waiting room wait times and pre-op testing can be tedious.Surgical procedures were chaotic and unduly uncomfortable and brusqe.
