Dr. Raymond Hernandez is truly the "Gold Standard" of Medicine, his Speciality and his overall character. He is very caring and listens to concerns the patient might have. His passion to his profession as well as his expert advice and approaches are exemplary!!!! One can certainly feel that this great doctor is not only professional but also it is apparent he is very passionate for Ophthalmology and in helping the patient receive the best of the best care possible. He is very intelligent, empathetic, and a sharp thinker. His great skill and knowledge along with his passion to help others show in his work and how he looks after his patients. He definitely fits the "Gold Standard" in all areas of professionalism and character. My husband Dean and I are always comfortable with his care and his recommendations. We trust and adore our Doctor and admire his attentiveness and the time he takes with us to explain and plan for the continued health of our eyes. Dr. Hernandez did my laser surgery for glaucoma five years ago, and my eyes continue to be healthy. He listens, takes time to explain things thoroughly, and always considers my concerns in deciding my course of care.

Dr. Hernandez saved my eyesight. I had a tumor growing that was pressing on my optic nerve (who knew). He examined me. Nothing really stood out that day, but he fast tracked me to an MRI (the next day) and a neurosurgeon (the next week). He took my situation very seriously (I didn't know if it was serious or not) and got me connected with a top notch surgeon, all in time to save my eyesight. He's incredibly good and very very thorough. He is quite busy so you generally can't make appointments on your own without some advance notice, but once you get on his regular schedule, the appointment reminders come early enough to schedule your next appointment at the right time. He listens to your questions and explains what's going on and what to watch out for. My eyesight is in excellent hands with Dr. Hernandez.
